What I take for a day at the beach (or pool):
–Bogg Bag
I know, I know. It looks like a big pair of Crocs. But this is THE BAG you need for the beach. It is super roomy and the sand just shakes right out. You don’t need to worry about getting it wet, stained, etc. because yes, it’s rubber!
–Dock & Bay Towel
These towels aren’t plush, but again the sand shakes right off and they dry very quickly. Also they won’t take up a to of space in your bag which leaves you room for snacks.
–Straw Hat
I love a good beach hat. Baseball hats are great too, but I feel like a straw hat takes it to the next level. I have one from a subscription box (an old PopSugar Summer Box) that I love but this one is super similar.
–Aviator Sunglasses
I basically need to wear sunglasses anytime I am outside (I think all those tanning booth lights from back in the day made my eyes light sensitive). QUAYS are my usual go-to, but lately I have been loving DIFF sunglasses as well.
–Slim Can Cooler – Yeti, Brumate, Swig, etc.
It doesn’t matter which one brand you bring, but you need to keep those White Claws cold!
–Sunscreen
#1 beach need. Get an airbrush tan for that bronze glow, but then apply sunscreen (and lots of it) at the actual beach. Don’t forget your feet and part in your hair (I use a spray for this, but really whatever works).
–Maxi Dress
Sometimes I am a jean shorts / tank top girl for the beach, but mostly it’s maxi dresses. Give me ALL the dresses. Toss on your beach hat and you can head straight to dinner from the beach.
–SPF Lip Balm
Have you ever gotten your lips sunburned? I have and never again. Bring your SPF Lip Balm!
–Slides
You know I am obsessed with APL’s and I snagged their Lusso slides in Black as soon as they came out. They look good and are SO comfortable.
–A Beach Read
I have Erin Hilderbrand’s latest book – Golden Girl on pre-order from amazon and can’t wait to receive it (it comes out June 1st). She has THE best beach reads so if you don’t want to wait for that one, check out 28 Summers and her Paradise series.
Other than a swimsuit (which I didn’t include in the post), what else do you take to the beach?
