Hello Fresh Review + Coupon Code - Week of 12/6/21

Hello Fresh is a weekly meal subscription service. Each week, you’ll open simple step-by-step recipes complete with nutritional information and fresh, pre-measured ingredients to get you whipping up delicious dinners in no time. The only ingredients they assume you have on hand are salt, pepper, sugar, oil, and butter. You can select the type of plan (Meat & Veggies, Veggie, Family Friendly, Fit & Wholesome, Quick & Easy or Pescatarian), the number of people you are serving (2 or 4), as well as, the number of recipes you want per week (2-6). Cost varies based on selections, but meals start at $7.99/serving.

I opted for the following box preferences:
-Type: Meat & Veggies:
-Number of People: 4
-Number of Recipes: 2
-My Cost: $75.92 / delivery (+$9.99 shipping) (I signed up during their Black Friday sale so my subscription is currently discounted. The price reflected here is full retail price).

Note: Hello Fresh and I go WAY back – check out my review from April 2013.

Hello Fresh delivers via UPS, FedEx, and select regional couriers. They do not deliver via United States Postal Service. Hello Fresh is shipped via FedEx and I receive it on Thursdays. You can opt for delivery any day of the week (which I just realized), so we will be receiving on Mondays going forward.

Hello Fresh packaging is recyclable and provides instructions on their website on how to recycle each piece. They use specially designed boxes with insulating liners, gel packs, and cooling material to keep food as cool as possible. They even modify our packaging based on season to ensure optimal freshness.

We picked the following meals for our Hello Fresh Box (week of December 6th):

BBQ Pineapple Flatbreads with Caramelized & Pickled Onions: You guys. This pizza. OMG I was obsessed.  The kids didn’t love it quite as much (we did skip the pickled onions on theirs since I knew that would be a no-go), but I was impressed.  Honestly it doesn’t look like much, but it was SO GOOD. This is marked as a “Hall of Fane” recipe and I couldn’t agree more. Rating: 10/10

Sour Cream ‘N’ Onion Chicken with Broccoli Rice & Roasted Zucchini: I loved this one too, but not quite as much as the first one. The sour cream, garlic, and butter sauce was heavy on garlic.  The kids tried the sauce, but decided to eat their chicken plain instead.  This was super filling and everyone was satisfied. I am so happy we resubscribed to Hello Fresh.  We were getting tired of eating the same old meals and I was getting way tired of the grocery store. This was our second delivery (I forgot to take pictures of the final results for the first) and we are thrilled.
