The February 2022 ipsy Glam Bag design(s) have been officially revealed!
Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose. The month of love is on its way and the IPSY team is nothing but heart-eyed over February’s romantic Glam Bag designs. With a pattern that’s filled to the brim with hearts, we hope your month (and your bag) will be full of love—for yourself, for your loved ones, and all of your new products.
Curious about how our Glam Bag, Glam Bag Plus, and Glam Bag X designs are created? We tapped IPSY’s bag designer Joanne Wong to give us a behind the scenes look at the process, from inspo to design to construction.
ipsy Glam Bag
It’s easy to see why everyone at IPSY’s HQ is obsessed. Featuring tiny red, pink, and black hearts printed over a matte faux leather, this month’s Glam Bag is the perfect complement to all of your V-Day-inspired looks. “I wanted to design a cute bag that can be easily paired with any Valentine’s or Galentine’s Day outfits,” explains Wong. So don’t forget to snap a selfie with your bag and tag us @IPSY!
Going out? February’s Glam Bag (which totes your five deluxe-size beauty samples) is fab for on-the-go touch ups. Stash the lipstick you’re wearing, cotton swabs, concealer, and bobby pins inside as a fuss-free way to freshen up before dinner with pals or that special someone.
ipsy Glam Bag Plus
For our Glam Bag Plus Ipsters, your five full-size faves will arrive in a take-anywhere drawstring pouch—with an ultra soft pink microfiber construction and red hearts printed all over. We might be a little biased, but we think it also serves as the *perfect* inspo for a Valentine’s themed mani—and according to Wong, that actually was all part of the plan. “I love the creativity in beauty this time of year—bright red lipsticks, flirty pink eyeshadows, and heart-adorned nails—so the idea was to create a bag that was both inspired by and inspiration for your makeup creations.”
Plus, the reusable aspect of this roomy bag helps spread that love and inspiration to others. “Pop a gift inside, add some chocolate, and tuck a handwritten card in before pulling the drawstrings closed and tieing into a bow,” says Wong.
ipsy Glam Bag X
It’s a Glam Bag X month, which means we have an exciting addition to February’s assortment of bags—and our design team created something truly memorable. “It’s a 3-in-1 bag! The strap is adjustable and removable, so you can turn this makeup bag into your everyday bag,” Wong tells us. “Just hook the shoulder strap onto the back of the bag, adjust the strap length, and wear it as a crossbody or chic belt bag.”
And this isn’t a “function over fashion” situation either. The high shine patent faux leather features a croc-like texture and the pink zipper pull is heart-shaped, proving that no detail was left untouched.
