Birchbox ships via USPS. This box was inside an outer cardboard box. This is a new box design and I am impressed!
Birchbox did have a three curated box options this month and also allowed a sample choice selection. I opted for a curated box this month. Birchbox was acquired by FemTec a few months back and the last few boxes have been old boxes and old inventory. Everything seemed “fresher” this month so perhaps things are beginning to turn around.
My February 2022 “Hair Heroes” Curated Birchbox included the following items:
–Oribe Gold Lust Transformative Masque (15mL) ($6.60): This is an intensive, nutrient-rich mask that restores softness, shine, and body to dry, overworked hair with every application. It gave my hair extra shiny and smells incredible.
–Davines SOLU Clarifying Shampoo – For All Hair Types (75mL) ($9): This shampoo works to remove the residue of styling products. It’s not something I need daily, but works great once or twice a week.
–Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray (1oz) ($5.76): One of the main reasons I opted for this curated box was for this! I use this while traveling and love it. I actually spray it on my hair wet and either let air dry or blow dry. Adds texture without leaving my hard crunchy or stiff.
–Davines OI All in One Milk (50mL) ($13.33): This leave-in milk acts as a rinse-free conditioner. It nourishes hair, protects against UV exposure and keeps frizz at a minimum.
–invisibobble® ORIGINAL Traceless Hair Ring – True Black ($8): I cannot be without a hair tie (I CANNOT) so these are great. They don’t leave any dents, snags or cause split ends. They do stretch out, but I just toss then in the wash to shrink them back to size.
All totaled my February 2022 Birchbox had a value of approximately $42. I loved this box and really hope that this is the start of a Birchbox comeback!
