Birchbox has updated the way you can customize your subscription! Subscribers are now able to select up to 5 items during your selection period. If you don’t make your selections during your chosen customization period, Birchbox will customize a box for you.

Do I have to choose a new Box Customization period?
Nope, not if you don’t want to. If you do not choose a new Box Customization period, we will auto-assign one for you. If you would like to change your Box Customization period at a later date, we encourage you to reach out to our customer experience team at info@birchbox.com.
What if I forget to pick my new dates by 6/20?
Not to worry. We will auto-assign a new Box Customization period and notify you of your Box Customization live dates and billing date by 7/1. Why will my billing date change?
We are changing our billing and shipping process in order to bring you a more flexible Birchbox experience – one that is built for your current and evolving beauty needs. Previously, boxes have shipped at the same time every month. Now, you don’t have to wait – you can ship your box as soon as you’ve selected or customized it. Your new billing date will match the live date for your new Box Customization Period.
When can I customize my box?
You can customize your box as soon as your Box Customization period opens on your billing date. You will have a window of 7 days to customize your box before it ships. Your June box is already on its way or has been delivered, so your new Box Customization period will open in July. We will send you an email confirming the dates for your new Box Customization period. If you don’t participate in your Box Customization period, a box will be curated for you and will automatically ship at the end of your Box Customization period.
When will my box ship?
The sooner you choose after your Box Customization period opens, the sooner it ships. If you do nothing, it will automatically ship seven days after your billing date.
