The October 2023 ipsy Glam Bag design has been officially revealed!
At first glance, October’s Glam Bag design looks like a black and red lacy velvet pouch, but upon closer inspection, you’ll see the print is actually made up of black bats and spider webs for Halloween. “I’m very happy how the artwork came out on the velvet fabric. The printed fabric is so soft and smooth, and it’s very Halloween and also edgy,” says Wong.
According to Wong, the color combination of burgundy and black was inspired by a vampire makeup aesthetic—think deep merlot lips and smoky eyes—but she didn’t stop there. Wong continued the Halloween theme all the way down to the tiniest details, like the black zipper, lining, IPSY logo tag, and (of favorite part!), the bat-shaped zipper charm.
This voter-favorite Glam Bag is so much more than just a Halloween makeup bag. Wong recommends using it like a bag for a fancy dinner or a night out. “Add a circle key ring on the zipper puller chain link, and clip a removable wristlet strap on the key ring, then you will have a wristlet Glam Bag,” she advises.
