The February 2024 ipsy Glam Bag design has been officially revealed!
If there’s one trend that everyone at IPSY is all about this year, it’s the coquette beauty trend. A quick scroll through your Instagram feed or TikTok FYP will reveal an abundance of coquettish accents, including satin and velvet accessories, romantic lace-up tops, and all the bows.
It’s from this emerging trend (the bow boom is real, y’all!) that our designer Joanne Wong took inspiration for the February 2024 Glam Bag design. Not only is the timing spot-on with Valentine’s Day fast approaching, but the resulting Glam Bag design also feels like one of our most luxe looks yet.
“For the Valentine’s Day month, we wanted to design the February Glam Bag with a combination of romance and sexy to show off femme energy,” says Wong. “The soft pink with ruffle textured feels very soft and romantic, and the black zipper tape and black ribbon bow add a little of sexiness to the bag.”
The result is a Glam Bag design that would fit right in on the spring/summer 2025 runways of brands like Tory Burch, Louis Vuitton, and Alexander McQueen, where black bra tops, pink satin slip dresses, silky blouses, and draped ruffled gowns reigned supreme.
We’re totally obsessed with ruffled faux satin fabric and black ribbon bow tied on the heart-shaped engraved IPSY zipper charm, but one of our favorite parts comes when you unzip the bag—and we’re not just talking about the personalized beauty products that are housed inside. “When you unzip the bag, you will see an unexpected faux satin lining in the pop color of pistachio green,” says Wong. This colorful surprise puts a smile on our face with every pull of that heart-shaped zipper charm.
