The October 2025 ipsy Glam Bag design has been officially revealed!
October is here, and we’re leaning all the way into the magic of the season. This month’s Glam Bag design? Totally Ipster-approved. Our community voted for this bold, playful look—and we couldn’t be more obsessed with the results. Instead of the usual black bag for spooky season, October’s pouch brings a burst of berry, a dash of cosmic symbolism, and just the right amount of mysterious energy.
“Magical. Transformation. Renewal.” That’s how IPSY designer Joanne Wong sums up this month’s bag. And with its otherworldly mix of snakes, stars, and evil eyes, the vibe checks out.
“We wanted to move away from traditional Halloween tropes and lean into the energy of healing and protection,” Wong explains. “The snake-and-evil-eye motif represents transformation, renewal, and warding off negativity, like a little protective charm for your beauty routine.”
The deep berry background wasn’t the first idea on the table. Wong experimented with dark purple, neon green, even gray before landing on this shade. “The berry made the purple snakes and neon stars pop in a way the others didn’t,” she says. “It felt fresh compared to our past October bags, but still spooky and supernatural.”
And then there’s the zipper pull. This month, it’s a gleaming gold evil-eye charm finished with a tiny crystal accent. “I wanted it to tie directly to the artwork,” Wong says. “It’s a small detail, but one you’ll notice every time you zip it open. I even added a light yellow stone for that extra touch of glam.”
Of course, getting the colors right wasn’t without challenges. Early samples made the snakes disappear into the background, but after a few tweaks, the design came to life. “It was worth it,” Wong says. “Now the bag feels vibrant, fun, and still perfectly in tune with October.”
