The January 2026 ipsy Glam Bag design has been officially revealed!
New year, new vibe, same obsession with great design. January’s Glam Bag is the definition of a reset: clean, modern, and just the right amount of icy. With its quilted silver finish and icy blue zipper, it’s giving fresh page meets frosted chic.
When IPSY designer Joanne Wong sat down to dream up the first Glam Bag of 2026, she had one mood in mind: clarity. “January always feels like a reset,” she says. “I wanted the bag to capture that sense of optimism and calm with a cool, minimalist silhouette that feels forward-looking.”
The result is a sleek, quilted pouch that looks like it was carved from ice. The stitched pattern was inspired by fashion’s “superimposed pastels” trend, creating a texture that’s soft yet structured, almost like ice crystals forming.
“I loved the idea of soft layers and slightly surreal dimensions,” Wong explains. “The metallic silver finish adds a modern touch, but it’s intentionally not too shiny. It’s wearable, timeless, and still gives that subtle glow.”
To balance the metallic tone, Wong added icy blue accents along the zipper and lining. “Together, silver and blue create this soft, dreamlike palette that feels fresh,” she says.
Achieving the right balance of shine and softness took intention…and a few rounds of fine-tuning. “Metallics can be tricky,” Wong admits. “They can feel too stiff or too reflective. Finding that soft-but-glowy finish with the right quilting took us a few tries, but once it clicked, everything fell into place.”
The result? A bag that’s as useful as it is grid-ready. It’s minimalist without being boring, sleek without being cold. “I picture it as that new year, new vibe bag,” says Wong. “Perfect for everyday use, but shiny enough to carry out at night.”
