Mission Cute June 2016 Subscription Box Review

MissionCute is a monthly subscription box full of cute stuff, but with a mission. Each MissionCute box comes with at least two items made by small-but-mighty artisans and local businesses.  Every month they also partner with a different nonprofit to help promote their mission.  50% of the net proceeds of each box are donated to the chosen (you can vote on it) monthly nonprofit (this month’s partner is Girl Scouts of Sierra Nevada) and MissionCute also sponsors and works on a service project each month in their community.

Mission Cute June 2016 Subscription Box Review

I LOVE seeing what MissionCute puts in their boxes every month.

Mission Cute June 2016 Subscription Box Review

The June 2016 MissionCute partner was “Girl Scouts of Sierra Nevada“. Their mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place:

~Watermelon Zip Pouch ($6): Absolutely adorable!  It’s a small plush change purse, and I think it would be so cute to use with a fun beach bag.  You could even hook it onto the handles to show off the cuteness.

~Tortoise Shell Sunglasses & Bag ($19):  I can always use some new sunglasses, and I love the style of these. For some reason, I have been sticking with one style lately (mirrored aviators), so these will branch me out a bit.

~Lace Headband by Little White Feather Shop ($5 – $11): Some of the headbands in this etsy shop are $5, and some are $11 (there is also a wide lace one for $1).  I don’t see any difference between them except for color.  I don’t think I would wear this out, but I will for sure use it for masks and while sleeping (I cannot stand my hair touching my face while I sleep).

~Summer Pineapple Necklace ($12): I can’t find this exact price online, so I am going with the Mission Cute information card price.  It seems reasonable. This little pineapple is so cute!  It will go well with the pineapple pin that was in another box this month.

~Exclusive MissionCure Sip + Summer Tumbler ($22): This tumbler says “sip shine smile seek SUMMER”!  I just love tumblers (and mugs), so this is amazing.

~Flamingle 5×7 Print ($9): I had to google “Flamingle” (I thought it was a typo on the card at first), but according to Urban Dictionary, it means “The act of trying to flirt/mingle, but you are so awkward that you become a flamingo.” I can’t believe I didn’t know this!  Anyway, this is another score for me.  I actually just ordered a Flamingo iPhone case from Erin Condren too!

All totaled I came up with a value of $73 (I went with the $5 headband value) for the June 2016 MissionCute.  I thought this box was adorable, and I will happily use every single item in it.

What do you think of MissionCute? If you are interested in subscribing or just want to check out more about them / look at previous boxes, click here.  They also offer a Mini MissionCute box for $20/month which consists of 2-3 hand-curated items.  This may be a good option if you aren’t ready to try the full box.

I get the mission cute mini. I got the headband, the flamingo print, the necklace mad watermelon zip pouch. Not bad for 20.00.
