The Men’s Health Box delivers what you need to turn heads, turn her on, and turn your body into a work of art. Their editors handpick the best fitness, nutrition, style, grooming, and tech products to make you fitter, healthier, more confident, and more attractive – and then deliver the goods right to your door.

Men’s Health Box generally ships each quarter’s box at the beginning of the last month for the respective quarter. The July box shipped later than it should have and Men’s Health Box sent out a few e-mails keeping subscribers informed about the delays. If you subscribe to the club after the current quarter’s box has shipped, they will ship you that quarter’s box if supplies are still available. Otherwise, your first box will ship in the next upcoming quarter.  Boxes are shipped via FedEx Ground.

The Summer (July) 2016 Men’s Health Box included the following items designed to improve your health, your fitness, your style and your life:

FASHION

~Nice Laundry Socks ($8): B (my husband) scooped these up and put them in his drawer as soon as he saw them.  They are no-show sock and will work with sneakers or loafers.

~United by Blue Bartrams Sock ($12): Again, these went right to into B’s sock drawer.  They are stylish and made in North Carolina from recycled cotton.

~Men’s Health Logo Shirt ($25): I am guessing some people won’t be too thrilled about getting a logo item, but I don’t mind.  It’s something that B will wear a ton, and it’s made out of a very soft cotton.  Still, it may have been better as a bonus item and not as an item that is included in the box value.

~Würkin Power Stays ($13.33): Power stays are awesome. They are magnetic and work amazing.  The packaging says they are “the best collar stay on earth” and I would probably agree with that.

Grooming

~Das Boom Soap Bar (West Indies Scent) ($15): This soap is “a dark and earthy island blend of bay rum, smoke, and dirt”.  It smells fantastic, and while I am not huge on spending $15 on a bar of soap, we do love when it comes in a subscription box.

~Dameson Toothpicks (Bourbon and Cinnamint) ($18): B loves these!  They are another item we wouldn’t purchase on our own, but when they come in subscription boxes?  LOVE!  They are birch toothpicks made with all natural ingredients and smell amazing.

~Polo Red Intense Cologne (15mL/each) ($42): This has notes of Red Ginger, Red Grapefruit, Cranberry, Red Saffron, Red Sage, Orange Flower, Redwood, Red Roasted Coffee, Red Leather.  I wondered why they called it “Red Intense” perfume, and I guess that explains it.  Polo cologne kind of reminds me of middle school, so I was surprised by how much we both liked this.

~Harry’s Daily Face Wash ($7) & Harry’s Razor + Four Blade Refill Coupon ($18): This face wash contains volcanic rock that exfoliates, while eucalyptus and peppermint leave your face refreshed and cooled.  Along with the face wash, the box included a Harry’s razor (in a fun orange color) and four blade refills.

Food / Nutrition

~Bonus Item: Iron and Resin Mug ($10): This was labeled as a bonus item on the information card.  It’s built to last for years and is 100% baked enamelware with a stainless steel rim.

~Tanka Bar (Turkey & Buffalo with Cranberries & Buffalo Meat with Cranberries) ($5.99):   These are “delicious real food bars”. B took them to National Guard with him, so I am sure I will hear what he thinks about these when he returns.  They look like beef jerky bars, so I can’t see them not being a hit.

Fitness

~Quantum Resistance Band Training ($6.50): Meh.  B has a few of these and isn’t overly excited by them.  He will probably end up giving it to a friend.  The box did include a sheet of paper with some workout ideas, but it’s just not an item he uses in his workouts.

Tech

~Tile Tech ($25): I saved the best for last!  I don’t lose my keys very often (they never leave my purse), but I lose my cell phone constantly.  LOL.  I am going to put this on my keychain, and when you press it, it will make your phone ring.  YES.  When B is here, I can have him call my phone, but if he’s not?  It’s just an all-out search for my phone.  I actually can’t believe this hasn’t appeared in a subscription box before.

All totaled I came up with a value of $205.82 for the July / Summer 2016 Men’s Health Box.  I found that the information card values were off on here.  Some were too high, but a few were too low.  I’m not too sure how they did their calculations, but I used online prices for mine.  My feelings are mixed on this box.  I was expecting to be wowed with it because of the delay, but I wasn’t.  I wasn’t disappointed, but I wasn’t super impressed either.
