Boxwalla boxes (the boxes themselves) are probably one of the most interesting boxes out there. They are made in India from tree-free handmade paper. The boxes are made out of cotton scraps, using the traditional art of paper-making that involves nine steps and takes several weeks. The handmade paper is then meticulously fashioned into the boxes that the goodies get shipped in.

The October 2016 Boxwalla Beauty Box featured Siam SEAS and included the following items:

~Siam SEAS Twilight BeCalm Serum (1oz) ($80): This serum works on your skin as you sleep and delivers “clear, glowing skin by morning”. It contains 24 precious active organic, wildcrafted and non-GMO ingredients.  It wasn’t greasy at all and is formulated with acne-prone skin (that’s me) in mind.  I have some other serums I am using right now, but this sounds so promising that I want to skip it to the front of the line.

~Siam SEAS Seas Elements Balm: I haven’t used a balm (moisturizer) like this before!  First of all it’s green! The jasmine flower scent isn’t for me, but once I applied it I couldn’t smell it.  It promises to even your skin tone which is a big issue of mine.  They say to use an orange seed sized dollop which isn’t much at all. This sample doesn’t look big, but it will last quite a while.

~Siam SEAS Mekha Cleansing Balm: This cleansing balm is so new that it’s not even on sale on the Siam SEAS website yet! It’s a little more work on your “typical” cleanser, but the payoff was worth it.  I can’t see myself using this daily (I don’t necessarily want to spend 15-20 washing my face each day) so I will probably use it weekly instead.

~Siam SEAS Information Card: In addition to the BOXWALLA information card, the box also included a card from Siam SEAS, with some information about the brand and the products featured in the box.

I couldn’t do a full cost breakdown on this box, but I do think (I know) that the value is well over the cost of the box.  Just the first item alone covers the cost of the box!  I like that we got a full skin-care routine in here. I don’t think BOXWALLA has done that before and it’s fantastic.
