As you may know, I love Target. Once I am in there roaming around aimlessly, all the problems in the world just seem to disappear and it’s just me and my Target stuff. I was just there over the weekend and realized I had quite a few of their “Spring Things.” So I thought I’d share my haul (actually hauls).
One of my favorite aisles is the “vase filler” aisle. Target is always coming out with fun new vase filler items and I love to see what I can find. My current favorites are the purple and pink dahlias and the tiny little birds nests / eggs. I have so many ideas for the vase fillers and will let you know what I decide on. Oh, and I want to mention that the vase fillers are only $4.99/box. I much cheaper alternative than Pottery Barn and I think the quality is the same. I mean, you’re putting them in a vase.
I also love Target’s pillows. A nice inexpensive way to update your living space / couch / bed is to switch up the pillows. My husband cannot stand these pillows and would tell me as much every time we went to Target and checked out the pillow aisle. I don’t know if that make me like them more or what, but during one of his many out of town trips (this time to the “desert”), Lucas and I made a Target run and snatched those pillows right up!! I actually think they are growing on B. Not that’d he’d ever admit it. I need to find some for our bed. B hates decorative pillows on the bed too. Men!
I must admit, I always thought fake plants were stupid. And then I got some real plants and realized I didn’t exactly have a green thumb. So I was plantless for awhile until I found these. Everyone who comes in my living room comments on them and a few have even asked if they were real. That’s a sign of a good looking fake plant for sure. I have zero idea what kind of plants these are supposed to be. And I do not care. I just know I love them.
In addition to thinking fake plants were dumb and cheesy, I also used to think the same thing about fake flowers. While I would like to be one of those people that fills their houses with beautiful fresh flowers all the time, that’s just not happening in this house anytime soon. So lately I have been getting into fake flowers. I don’t like to sugar coat it and call then “faux”. They are fake, plain and simple! I spied these at Target on Sunday and grabbed them off the shelves before the other lady in the aisle decided she wanted them. She looked at me a little oddly when I lunged at them, but I knew that they were just what my living room needed!
Unlike fake flowers and fake plants, I have always had a thing for fake grass. I can’t explain it, but I really a drawn to it. I think I stayed at some cool hotel that had it and have liked it ever since? When I saw these at Target, I knew I had to make them mine. I bought 5 (yes, for you math majors out there, I spent $50 on fake grass) and now have them in my kitchen windows. So cute!
I can’t wait to see what I find on my next Target adventure! I “need” some new tall glass vases, so hopefully they have some nice looking ones when I go next! See you next weekend Target!!!
