Friday Night:
B was out of town all week and didn’t get home until late Friday night, so L and I went shopping for some Father’s Day stuff on Friday night. We went to our local garden store and L picked out a fun decorative bird for B’s garden. We also monitored the progress of L’s ant farm (it’s the coolest thing ever, we all love it) and made popsicles (review coming soon). After L went to bed, I watched a little trash tv and stumbled upon “My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding”. Wow. How did I miss this? Love it! And Buddy took advantage of B being gone so that he could lay in his “spot”.
Saturday was a fairly busy day for us. I had my last Cardio Fusion class at the same time that L (and B) started swim class. I snuck away from class for a minute (it’s all in the same building) and caught a glimpse of L swimming in the pool with the instructor. So cute. After our classes, L and I went grocery shopping while B worked on the yard. I also put the two week touch-up color on my hair, and I think I love the color even more now than I did two weeks ago. We ended the day with a trip the mall (and Target) for dinner and some shopping. And played on the playground of course. And can you believe I hadn’t been on a real Target shopping trip in weeks. So shameful!
Sunday:
We went the majority of the day on Sunday hanging out around the house. We played outside all morning, coming inside only to make popsicles because B wanted to see how it worked. We got all fancy and made layered ones, which I think turned out awesome. They must not have tasted that great though, because L only had a little of his. Although, B ate all of his, so who knows. We also did a fun project, which you will see later this week. L and I mainly just let B do whatever he wanted, since it was his day! We did take him out to dinner (Dad’s ate free!) though, which we all loved. Baxter didn’t do much on Saturday (he never does), but he did end up with a green face, which earned him (and Buddy) a bath.
What did you all do this weekend? Hopefully all the fathers(*) out there got spoiled like crazy!!! I am already looking forward to next weekend (it’s my birthday weekend) and can’t wait to see what my boys have planned!
I bought my Dad breakfast as soon as we ended up in the same restaurant.
