I cannot believe that tomorrow is the first day of October. What happened to September. It totally just flew by. But I can’t say that I mind, I LOVE October. Here’s what I am looking forward to this month:
- The cider mill. There isn’t much better than fresh doughnuts, warm cider and apples on a crisp fall day. Oh, and getting swarmed by bees. Bees loves the cider mill! Can anyone explain that to me? I’m trying to talk B into apple picking too, which I think L would love. Assuming the weather is fairly nice (i.e. not raining), we might even go to the cider mill this weekend. B has also been super into pie baking this fall (he make two last weekend), so he’s all excited to go get some apples directly from the source.
- Post-season baseball! I am super excited the Tigers are in the race this year and hope to see them still playing at the end of the month! GO TIGERS!!!!
- Halloween Events. Oh my, we don’t just trick-or-treat on Halloween, we make it a month long event. There are tons of Halloween activities from kids in this are and we love them all. L is so excited to get the fun started. And honestly, so am I!
- College football. No more September fluff games. It’s go time for the Spartans and I can’t wait to see what they are made of. I’m also really looking forward to the Nebraska – Wisconsin game tomorrow night.
- Fall clothes. Boots. Jeans. Sweaters. Scarfs. Bring it on. I went out today with no coat on and regretted it almost as soon as I got out the door. I won’t be making that mistake again. It’s officially fall here and I’m ready!
What are you looking forward to this October?
I think you know what I’m looking forward to! But also looking forward to jeans, boots, sweaters, etc.! And I love all the different kinds of apples!
Oh yes, and the arrival of the slushy magic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And your flippin baby!!!
I LOVE honey crisp apples in the fall! So what if they were $10 for a bag! Totally worth it.
