Every time I am stalking visiting someone’s Facebook page I look to see how many friends they have. And when someone has over 1,000 friends, it gets me thinking, how do you know all these people?? And do you really want them to know exactly what you are up to?
I currently have 330 (I just deleted like 40) friends and I am pretty sure I know 99% of them. The ones I don’t know are friends with like all my high school friends so I feel like maybe I should know them and don’t want to delete them??? But maybe I should since they likely don’t know who the heck I am either! B has 600+ friends and I doubt he talks to more than maybe 5% of them on a regular basis. I asked him if he could name them just by seeing their picture. He looked at me like I had two heads. I guess that’d be a no! So tell me, how many Facebook friends do you have? And it you have tons and tons of friends do you actually know them? Could you identify them by their picture.
Less than 100, I know pathetic right? But I know all of them personally and can name them by their picture.

I’m only a few years late on answering this one…I’m one of those people with over 1000 friends on Facebook… I grew up in a small town (~900 people in total) where everyone knows each other, and then I went to a tiny university for a few years (~2000 students total) and then I went to a private college with under 30 people. Plus, I’ve lived in a few different provinces/cities/towns over the years, and have met lots of people. I really should clean out my friends list, but I can’t bring myself to do it…
