I read a lot of blogs. A lot. And I have noticed that most of them have themes. Weight loss, healthy living, single girl in the city, organizing, decorating, parenting, running, saving, travel, etc. My blog has no such theme. At least I don’t think it does, does it? Not that I really care anyways. But whatever. Unlike most of my other posts, this isn’t about me, it’s about them. Here are some of my favorite “theme” blogs:
Running: Skinny Runner. That girl cracks me up. She can snark like no other. And she likes fro-yo. I pretty much like anyone that likes fro-yo. And her entire life is like a running vacation. If I took up running, maybe I too could just travel around the country for my races?? That sounds awesome. But what I really really want to know about SR is what her husband does? What in the world is Jaybob’s job anyways?
Travel: Yuppie Traveler. So my friend Lisa loves to travel. Loves it. She is currently in China right now, eating scorpions on sticks and taking pictures in places that the Chinese government doesn’t allow. If you need a review on a vacation spot, either at home or abroad, check her out. Just this year (so far) she’s traveled to India (tiger safari), China, Hawaii (the beach), Poland and Amsterdam. Where have I been this year? Umm, no where. Wait, I did get to spend one night in the hospital after I had W. Just as exotic. And if there is some place you are wondering about that she hasn’t went, heck, she’d probably be willing to go there to check it out just for you!
Organizing: IHeart Organizing. You know what, IHeart her. I love all her organizing ideas, inspirations, everything. She is amazing. And her name is Jen. Everyone that is named Jen, Jenny or Jennifer is awesome. Her pictures make me want to stop what I am doing and organize my things even more. Her playroom? OMG, I want to come over and play there. Or just stand there in awe.
Coupons / Savings: Hip2Save. I don’t think it’s possible to love Hip2Save any more than I already do. She always has the best deals. Sure, sometimes I am not interested in them, but you can’t want every deal now can you? She posts coupon match-ups for CVS, Target, Rite-Aid, etc. It pretty takes the guess work out of everything. Of all the blogs I read, this is one I’d never ever ever delete. Ever.
Healthy Living: This is is hard because I feel like so many of those healthy living bloggers eat so weird. And are so boring. How many times can I look at a picture of oatmeal with a glob of peanut butter on it? And if I ate what most of them ate in a day, I’d probably tip over from hunger. I am guessing they don’t include many of their “cheats” on their blogs for whatever reason? So I guess I need some help with this one, who is your favorite HLB? Lately I have been liking Healthy Tipping Point more and more, but I wouldn’t call it a must read or anything.
Decorating / DIY Home Projects: Who doesn’t love Young House Love? They come up with the most amazing ideas. Umm, when I do to the thrift store, I usually just see junk. They see potential. I really need to take some more lessons from them and get my but in gear. Specially I would like to steal some of their mantle ideas. No wait, I lie. I want to steal all of their ideas on everything.
So now that I have shared some of my favorite theme blogs, lets hear yours! Who are
