After waiting, oh, maybe six weeks for all my orange things to arrive from The Container Store, I am pleased to say that they are finally here and the office is done (*). And I couldn’t be more excited to share the final product!
I wasn’t going to do this, but heck, why not. Plus, I really hate it when you find a picture of something online but can’t find exactly where the person got the stuff. So, here is a breakdown of the cost (as well as the exact items I used) of my office redo:
~IKEA EXPEDIT Shelving Unit (Size: 2×4) ($69.99 x 3 = $209.97)
~IKEA EXPEDIT Desk ($50.00)
~IKEA EXPEDIT Shelving Unit (Size: 2×2): ($39.99 x 2 = $79.98)
~IKEA FEJKA (Fake grass): ($19.99 x 6 = $119.94)
~IKEA EKTORP Chair ($249)
~Etsy Pillow Covers: ($30)
~Walmart Desk Chair ($79)
~Canvas on Demand Canvas Prints (size: 16×20): ($59 x 4 = $236)
~Canvas on Demand Canvas Print (size: 24 x 36): ($188) (I doubt I paid retail, but I cannot find my e-mail on it)
~The Container Store Stockholm Magazine File: ($9.99 x 6 = $59.94)
~The Container Store Stockholm Letter Sorter: ($9.99)
~The Container Store Stockholm Divided Pencil Cup: ($6.99)
~The Container Store Open Top File Box: ($6.99)
~The Container Store Stockholm Desktop File: ($19.99 x 2 = $39.98)
~The Container Store Stockhom Paper Drawers: ($24.99 x 2 = $49.98)
~Other miscellaneous accessories (stapler, candle, fake Target flowers, cactus, etc.): $100
All totaled it comes to $1,515.76. At first that seems like A LOT, but I’ve gotta remind myself that I redid an entire room. Seriously, this is one before picture I wish I had taken! I’m going to let the various coupon codes I used on The Container Store stuff and the tax to even each other out. I already had the white magazine files, storage boxes, etc. from The Container Store, which is why I went for that brand to get the orange accents. Otherwise, trust me, I would have went cheaper. I also already had pillows, the lamp, etc.
The verdict? I couldn’t be happier. I love it and this is the final room in my house that I needed to “do”. And I have to say, I think this is my new favorite room!
(*) Well, 90% of the things are here. Close enough.
