Edited to Add: Lucky Mama is no longer in business.

Lucky Mama BoobieBox

Lucky Mama is relatively new service that offers “special deliveries for Mamas-to-Be”. They offer three one-time boxes (BumpBox, BoobieBox and BabyBox) which give you an opportunity to try lots of new products before committing to the full size options. Hello, I love that idea!

The Box

The Lucky Mama BoobieBox contains nursing essentials created by experienced moms for other nursing moms to ease the pains of the early days of breastfeeding to going back to work and pumping.

First Look

I was very impressed with the first look.  You could tell the box was packed nice and full and that someone spent time putting it together, which is much appreciated.  Since this isn’t a “blind” subscription box like most other ones, it doesn’t come with an information card.  The Lucky Mama website lets you know exactly what to expect!

Here’s what was inside:

~Milkmakers Lactation Cookie ($2): I have heard nothing but good things about these cookies.  Not only do they taste good, but they also work!  But I can totally see not wanting to buy a ton of them in case you don’t like them or they don’t work for you!

~Undercover Mama Nursing Tank Voucher ($15 off their $25 tanks) ($15): I went and checked these out on the website and OMG, what a great idea! Seriously, these are genius.  I can’t see why you wouldn’t want one in every color.

~Bamboobies(1 pair regular and 1 pair overnight pads) ($15.50): The founder of Bamboobies also happens to be the founder of Lucky Mamas! She’s a real mom who didn’t like the products on the market, so she set out to make something better. I love that!

~Milkscreen Alcohol Test Strips($4): Okay, I’ll admit it, Snooki was the first thing I thought of saw these! She got them for her baby shower and was so excited. And I’ll admit, I think these are amazing. You can drink and still make sure your milk is fine.

~Motherlove N*pple Balm and Diaper Rash/Thrush Ointment Samples($1): I’ve never heard of this brand before, but from what I can tell, it gets AMAZING reviews!

~Simple Wishes Hands-Free Pumping Bra Coupon and 5 Milk Storage Bags($1.18): In addition to being strong and durable, these bags are leakproof AND eco-friendly. Oh, and they are super cute!

~Wishgarden Herbs Sample Tinctures($11.24): (Milk Rich, Happy Ducts and Colic Ease): Wish Garden Herbs prepares its medicine in small batches, apothecarial style, using only wild harvested and organically grown herbs with very few exceptions. They have lots of different kits like this and I might actually pick a few up (Kick-A**, Kids Wellness, etc.) because they look great!

~Celestial Seasons Tea Samples and Coupon (Metabo Balance and Sleepytime Teas) ($1.05): It’s possible I am the only person in the world who doesn’t like tea. I like the idea of curling up with a book and a cup of tea, but I don’t like the actual taste. Maybe one day I will? I hope so!

~Lucky Mama Trio of Hair Ties($5): They don’t sell these online, so I used prices from etsy to get a value. I love these types of hair ties and have a ton. WB pulls at my hair so much, I have no choice but to keep it pulled up most of the time!

Live Worldly Brand Traditional Wish Bracelet From India($5): I couldn’t find the exact bracelet online, but I found a fairly similar one for comparison. I’ve never heard of Live Worldly before, but they donate a portion of the proceeds from each item sold to a non-profit in that country.

~Milk Money: I didn’t assign a value to these because you have to buy something to have, but these are coupons for mom-invented breastfeeding products worth up to $50. Pretty much if you love anything in the box and want to buy more, there’s a coupon for it!

Milk Money

All totaled, the Lucky Mama BoobieBox has a value of $59.92! Amazing considering that the cost of the box is $25. I think this would make a perfect shower gift for your favorite Mama’s-To-Be! Usually the babies get all the presents, but the moms deserve some too! I am definitely going to pick this up for up-coming shower gifts! If you want to order or learn more, click here! I believe the BoobieBox is ready to be shipped right away and the BumpBox and BabyBox are available for pre-order.

What do you think of the BoobieBox? Would you like to get one as a gift? Does the name crack you up??

Disclosure: I was provided with this box from Lucky Mama Boxes in exchange for my honest review. As always, all opinions are my own. No compensation was received.

This company is no longer. Just ordered a box – it was full of expired products and coupons and then when I went back to the website it was an empty domain page
