I caught part of a story about this on The Jeff Probst Show (I like him) last week and the answers seemed to be mixed. Jeff’s wife said she would have no problem hiring one if she were the best candidate for the job, but some others in the audience said no way, it was too much temptation for their husband, etc.
I personally would not have an issue hiring a hot nanny / babysitter / housekeeper or whatever if she (or he ;)) was the best candidate for the job. I wouldn’t think twice about B hanging out with some super hot nanny. As long as my kids liked her and she was good to them, that’s all that matters to me. I trust B (plus he’s never home) and if I didn’t totally trust the nanny, well, that’d be an issue. I would probably get annoyed with everyone asking me if I was worried about B and my hot nanny though. LOL. But I can see where that wouldn’t work for some families.
So I am curious, would you hire a good looking nanny? Why? Why not?
Yeah…I would if she was the most qualified AND I like her. However I do see how it could be a problem if there are trust issues within the relationship.
Well, I will take a nanny any day… if we can afford one. The going rates for really good nannies with references and experience on the East Coast is like ridiculous. I wouldn’t mind hiring a qualified nanny despite his/her looks. I trust BK completely and would need to know that I can trust her or him as well. If you hit on a married man without invitation under his wife’s nose while watching their kids – you are evil. Plain and Simple.
On the other hand – good looking (rather any well dressers) people usually inspire me to clean up a little more – you know brush my hair, teeth too maybe, change outta sweats, spray on a little something. So it maybe a nice perk.
I agree with you, I would hire someone good looking if they were qualified for the job and they were good with my kids and my kids liked them and besides, I trust my fiance and wouldn’t have to worry that he’d try anything with the hot nanny!!!
I don’t think I would hire a “hot” one. I would probably hire a “cute” one though, haha.
We had a “hot” Nanny. But, she rarely saw Nathan. I trusted them both and she was amazing with my kids and helped me out a lot, too!
I would definitely NOT hire a “hot” nanny/babysitter. Why temp a man with a Hotty?

Temptation can be anywhere. My husband works with “hot” women at work. Should I not allow him to go to work? Yes, we have had a “hot” sitter. We even took her on a week long vacation with us to FL, where she wore a bikini more than clothes. I trust my husband and my marriage.
Whether they are hot or not, you should be able to find a good quality, reliable nanny/babysitter now days. This should be the priority and not whether they are ‘hot’ or not.

I don’t know. It depends on the priorities that “hot” nannies may have. Do they have an agenda? Are they focused on themselves or the nanny duties of childcare? I don’t trust the morals or motives of self absorbed hot young nannies or most young people. And too many men will take a chance when the opportunity presents himself. Most young women do not care if a man is in a committed relationship or married. Many young women throw themselves at men and being a homewrecker does not faze them. Men are weak. I don’t trust them either. Too many marriages fail over this type situation. I would rather hire a mail nursing student.
