January bluum Toddler Box

Due to some delays (which bluum sent out an e-mail about and explained, but I can’t remember much about), my January bluum box arrived in February. I wasn’t overly annoyed, but I was anxious to get my box because I WB was getting one of bluum‘s new toddler boxes.

I had been feeling like WB was getting too old for the baby boxes ($14.95/month – ages 12 months and under), so when I found out that bluum was offering toddler boxes ($24.95/month – 12 months and older), I aged him up.

I dug out a bluum baby box we had received in the past so I could do a comparison with the new bluum toddler box. As you can see, the toddler box is much bigger!

First Look

When I peeked in the box I was very impressed! The box was nicely packaged and full, which is always good.

The sort of information card.

This months theme was “Movin and Shakin” and the card said “It might be time to baby proof. Your little is a mover and a shaker, so get the house ready.” This is totally true of WB and I know soon he’ll be getting even crazier. He’s been starting to try and stand on his own (he’ll let go of whatever he is holding on to and balance), so I am totally seeing those first steps coming soon. What I don’t like about the new bluum toddler box is that it didn’t have a card with all the product information on it;(. All the products you receive are listed in your account online, but I always love the information cards and being able to read along as I check out the items.

Here’s what was inside:

~StriVectin-SD™ Intensive Concentrate for Stretch Marks & Wrinkles ($22.50): Let’s just put this in the category of “things that I do not want to love because they are $”. I am excited to give this a try though since it’s suppose to “improve the appearance of wrinkles and stretch marks in just 2-8 weeks.”  Sounds good to me!

~Boiron – Oscillo ($10):  We totally could have used this around here when B was all sick last week!  I am certain that I will be catching something soon (there is no way I can get lucky enough not to get this crap that’s going around), so I know this will come in handy.

~“Brain Rules for Baby” by John Medina ($10.20): In all the Baby / Kid subscription boxes I have received, I have never gotten what I would refer to as, a parenting book.  I am very interested in this book and am going to try and spend some time reading it this weekend.

~Buddy Fruits – Food Pouch ($1): I know a lot of people don’t like getting pouch foods in their boxes, but I don’t mind at all.  If WB won’t eat it, L will.

~Melissa & Doug Peek-a-boo Turtle ($9.99): I had to laugh when I saw this in the box because I received the same one in my February Stork Stack!  I loved it in there, so of course I love it here.  I will totally give this extra one to a friend who I am certain will love it too.

~Mossworld Snack Trap-Orange/Cat ($9.99): I had a few of these when L was younger and we used them all the time.  I believe we still have them, but they are all grubby, so this is perfect.

All totaled I came up with a value of $63.68 for this box.  Amazing considering that the box costs $24.95/month.  I am loving the bluum toddler box way more than the bluum baby box.  I feel like this fits WB’s so much better!  Don’t get me wrong, bluum baby is great for younger babies,  but I think bluum toddler is just a better fit for us.
