1. What was your first car?
I had a 1990 Ford Probe as my first car.  It was hot.  Not like stolen hot.  Just hot. And I named it “Probie”.  And when I got my next car (also a Probe – but a newer one), I also named it Probie.  By the way, who decided to name a car a “Probe”?  Gross.

2. Who was your favorite childhood teacher?
“Mr C.”  Totally Mr. C.  He was my 3rd grade teacher and was such a nice guy.  I’m not going to go all crazy and say he inspired me to become what I am now (aka a stay at home retired mom who blogs), but he was a good guy.

3. Were you involved in any sports/extracurricular activities? Share pictures if you can!
I’m going to go with no.  It just wasn’t for me.  I think I was in the French Club maybe?  High school was so long ago (for me) so it’s kinda hard to remember?? I was just talking to a friend of mine from high school the other day (his girlfriend reads here so – “Hi Megan!”) and he reminded me that our 20 Year Reunion is coming up soon.  WTF.  How in the world is that even possible???  WAIT, I was in the Ski Club too.  Do you want to know why I was in those clubs?  Because we got to go on fun trips ;).

Vermont (I’m in the middle)

4. What was your favorite birthday party?
It wasn’t a “party”, but I spent my 18th birthday in Paris (see French Club above) and I think that’s pretty fabulous no?  I doubt this picture was from my actual birthday, but you get the idea.  Did you know we didn’t even have digital cameras back then?  Oh my.  And also, I know you guys love when post super old pictures of me looking all crazy, so enjoy another!

5. Who was your teen celebrity crush?
Other than like Kirk Cameron or something along those lines, there wasn’t really anyone I had a wild crush on.  BUT, I did LOVE those Abercrombie Model’s from the 90’s.  Remember those catalogs / magazines they used (maybe they still do, but back in the day, they were FREE) to send out?  Yes please!

6. What show/movie did your parents not allow you to watch?
Hmmm,  my mom might be able to answer this better, but there are no tv shows or movies that I can think of that I wanted to watch but couldn’t.  I got to watch all the good ones.  90210.  Melrose.  All that 90’s trash.

  3. Adrienne

I totally forgot! I was in the Snow Riders club too! For one or two years, just go get out of the place I lived. I would ride my snowboard down a couple of times, but then spend the rest of the night in the lodge, drinking hot cocoa. haha. I am such a loser.

  4. Jaimie

I knew i joined the wrong clubs in school… lol 🙂

  5. Mom

Nope, no shows you weren’t allowed to watch. You had a tv in your room! And your reunion isn’t coming up that soon.

    1. Jennifer

      It’s coming up soon enough!!!!!!!!

  6. Erika

I love it when you post old pics!!! I reminds me that we about the same age and the fashion was the same for me haha! I read so many blogs of girls who aren’t even 30 yet and when they reference their age in pictures I think of what I was doing then, what a reminder of my age!! Keep the throwbacks coming!!!!

  7. Gosh I feel old! LOL! My son was little when Melrose and 90210 came out! They were the “Dallas” of my generation! I never missed one episode…in all those years!

  8. Arod

Hey Jen, I <3'd 90210, Melrose Place, and all those cheesy school/family sitcoms.

I hope you have a great week and thanks for stopping by. 🙂

  11. I was definitely not involved in any sports in high school, but I did do some extra-curricular activities. Great point about the Abercrombie models! My teen crush was the boys of *NSync 🙂

  12. Courtney

Ahh! Melrose Place is my NEW obsession. I’ve been watching old episodes like crazy and am just getting into the second season. I can’t believe I was allowed to watch this when I was a kid– I was 9!

Hope to see you again next Sunday for the link-up!

P.S. I see you get several of the monthly subscription boxes. I don’t currently get any and don’t have a lot of extra money to spend but I think it could help my blog along since it is pretty new. If I can only get one kind to start off with, which would you recommend?

  21. lisa

Ohhhhhh Kirk Cameron!! My sister used to have his posters all over our bedroom and I used to be freaked out that they were “looking at me!!”

  25. Jessica E.

I think everyone loved those Abercrombie & Fitch ads! 😉

  26. Kelly

Okay, so I started reading your blog through Sunday Social. Only I found the main page instead of the Sunday Social posting first. And based on some of your answers, I thought you were retired, loving life at home, etc. Then I get to the Sunday Social posting and I discover that YOU’RE YOUNGER THAN I AM!!!! Stop making me feel so old!!!! My 20th high school reunion was three years ago. Granted, I was the youngest in my class (by about six months) so I haven’t even turned 40 yet (two months and four days). And I remember the Ford Probe. My best friend got one for her 16th birthday/Christmas present. And the day after new years she ran into a rail and tore up the side of it. But we loved that car!!!! 🙂

  27. Alysia

My 20th is this year!! Yes it makes me feel pretty dang old, in case you’re wondering. And I was in French Club and there were NO awesome trips to Paris, wth??? I would have been happy with Quebec, but we had nothing. LC must have started doing that after I graduated!

And TV might have been somewhat trashy, but NOTHING like it is now! 90210 is pretty much equivalent to what they’re playing on the Disney Channel nowadays.
