Target 90% Off Valentine’s Clearance Finds

First of all, let me just say that this Target after holiday clearance was weird. It followed no pattern and there was no rhyme or reason to it. Things (like the Sesame Street figurines I mentioned in my 70% off post) weren’t on sale anymore. Nope. At all three stores I went to today they were regular price again. I don’t think this has ever happened before? Weird. And I’ve found that this year, more and more people were on the hunt. I could tell people had been looking for things. And hiding things. Also, I think a lot of the “good stuff” (like my cookie sheets) got snatched up at 70% off! And I also waited to go shopping (a few of my stores *might* have been 90% off yesterday, but I didn’t feel like going).  But I did still find a few things to get when I went today. Can’t leave empty handed you know?

1. Giant frog ($1.99).  Small frog ($1.49).  Don’t even ask what I will do with these.  I have no clue.
2. Florida’s Natural Snacks ($0.29), Nordic Ware Spatuala ($0.39) and Funfetti Cookie Mix ($0.18).  Don’t judge me.
3. Nail Polish Sets ($0.30/each).  These are going to be perfect for gift bags!
4. Heart Tray ($0.99).
5. Wilton Heart Cookie Pan ($1.09)
6. Dog Treats ($0.49/each), Dog Toys ($0.49/each) and Dog Valentine’s Cards ($0.49/each).  Baxter and Buddy were very exited!
7. Tissue Paper ($0.19/each), Lip Smackers ($0.39) and Stuffed Dog ($0.89).

And that’s it folks, that’s all I got!  I saw a few other things (Cupid’s Blend Archers Farm Coffee, Cookie Jars, etc.), but I didn’t bite.  Did you hit up the 90% off sale?  What’d you get??

I also was bummed about the toys not being 90%. The toys that were on sale yesterday (I sent my husband out) were now being put in the easter displays they were putting up. So I’m thinking those that were lucky enough for there stuff to go 90% yesterday just squeaked by, or Target finally caught on and now checks blogs like totally target and all things target. At my store a nordicware heart pancake pan was not on clearance like yesterday it was full price today. Did find great finds in baby depsrtment for vday shirts.

I was going to tell you about the nail polish packs! I picked up 5 packs for Valentine bags next year. I also picked up sports erasers for the boys. And, goody bags to put them in. Other than that, the Valentines Day section was picked through. I got some Angry Birds seasons, a Knex toy, some baby pants (striped & hearts), a frame & some candy. I was bitter the Angry Birds Star Wars dog tags were full price! Those would have made perfect Valentines bag stuffers for the boys 🙁

I went to three stores yesterday too, my first time ever! I think my husband thinks I’m nuts! All were at 90% off but the first store didn’t have the Sesame Street characters on sale. The second and third stores did, so weird, and my little ponies so I grabbed a few of each at $1.49 or so. I got three cookie sheets at .99 cents each (so happy about them!) and a small frog for .50. I picked up the small crayon packs at .50 cents for goodie bags and a spatula for I think .29 cents? You definitely inspired me to pick that up, I couldn’t help but think of you as I tossed that bad boy in my carriage!

Seeing all the Target stuff is making me sad February is a “no shopping” month for me. The only thing I have bought at Target this month (other than the normal tp, paper towels, and other boring stuff) is tights and trouser socks 🙁 I’m not sure how much longer I can take it!!!

I went to Target again today for the 90% off…I think I may have a problem. but the little frog was .49, got a treat bag and box for .10, teddy bears for .49, candy dishes for .49, window decorations .20, and tons of these Disney plush toys from Monsters Inc and Finding Nemo, not marked clearance but they rang up .69 so of course I got a ton! Weird, the disney princess, my little ponies and sesame street characters were back to normal price! Good thing I stocked up at the 70% off price 🙂 also got tons of stuff at 70% yesterday. I really wanted a bunch of spatulas but only found 2 at 50% off at 4 different Targets!

I think the toys went up because they are now part of Easter. What do you all think?

I found Hot Wheels 5-packs for .49, and I could not stop putting them in my cart. I got 12 – what is wrong with me? But I told myself it was about the same price as getting 1. Now the tricky part will be to remember that I have them for next year.

I also found three cookie sheets someone had hidden – yes!!

I am glad that I picked up those Sesame figures at 70%. I wish I could have picked up some of those nail paints. I saw them but wasn’t sure I wanted it then. Great prices. I saw that frog but we just don’t have the place for more toys!
Really weird how they went back to full price – this adds a new element to stay on top of. Darn!

You ladies rocked the shopping. I went to a baby Target today and they only had an end cap of valentine stuff. 🙁 I even walked around but this store is way to organized and on top of stuff for me. Its not where I usually go. LOL I did get the sesame street characters yesterday so I was stocked. I found a couple coloring books on clearance today and some Smashbook scrapbooking supplies that were 50%. The albums where only 30% but I’ll keep an eye out for more discount on those.

I was “this close” to buying the giant frog and then realized it would be in my goodwill pile by summer! ha. I may go troll another target today in the ghetto to see what’s left.

@Patty, which hotwheel packs were .49. I scanned a bunch and couldn’t find any. Thanks!

I looked yesterday here and there wasn’t much left that I would bother with. But I did find 3 Valentine wall hangings in cute shapes that I plan to re-purpose. Paint then slap on some vinyl lettering, scrapbook paper, something!
