March bluum Box

In a crazy (but good) surprise, my bluum box arrived today. It arrived before my Citrus Lane box, which has never happened in the past. Hopefully this means bluum’s growing pains are behind them and we will be getting our boxes in a timely manner going forward!

The Box

The box was the size as last month, but was much lighter. I think this is the first month that bluum has shipped everyone (baby and toddler) the full sized boxes so I bet a lot of people were pleasantly surprised to see the big box in their mailbox.

First Look

The first look had me excited because it looked like there was a lot of stuff we didn’t have and also a few snacks that we love!

The Card

Our bluum theme this month was “Balancing Act”. I mentioned it last month, but I aged WB up, so he is a getting a 15 month-old box instead of an 11 month-old box. bluum doesn’t include product information on their information cards anymore, but they do send you an e-mail with all the details you’d ever want the day you get the box.

Here’s what our box included:
~edushape Link A Shape ($9.99): These little Link A Shapes are perfect for WB and also for L!  WB still just wants to chew on everything, but these area nice thick foam that he will NOT be able to gnaw a hunk off you know?  L has been playing with these since they arrived and thinks they are great!  I did wonder about sketchy packaging, but when I looked on the edushape website, I realized that the box they normally come in probably wouldn’t have fit in the bluum box, so I get it now.

~BabyGanics Cover-Up Kisses Lip Balm & Sunscreen ($3.99): I love this.  I am totally 100% guilty of wearing sunscreen everywhere but my lips.  Umm, yeah, not good!  I am throwing this in my suitcase (along with last month’s dish soap) for my next vacation!

~TheraPearl Pals – Ribbit($6.68): I don’t know what genius came up with character / animal / shape pals to help fix boo boos, but they are likely very rich.  There is something about turtle (or whatever) shaped cold pack that fixes everything.  And faster than just a plain old bag of ice.

~Happy Baby happy munchies rice cakes($3.59): I totally thought we had tried every baby snack on the market, but clearly I was wrong.  I have never seen these before and can’t wait to see what WB thinks!

~Happy Baby happy creamies veggie & fruit snacks($4.21): We’ve tried this before and WB likes them a lot.  I mean, not as much as his cheese puffs, but as long as he has these first, he’s good!  And honestly, these things are good!  L even likes them!

~Happy Baby Happy Tot Plus($2.22): As luck would have it, this is WB’s all time favorite pouch food.  I think it sounds gross, but I’ve also never tried it. And probably never will.  Beets + strawberries don’t sound like a good combo to me, but WB sure loves it!

Happy Baby Happy Tot Plus

~BABYBUG Magazine ($3.77): This is for younger kids, but that didn’t stop L from grabbing it and “reading” it as soon as we opened it.  The train on the front was too much to resist!  And while it’s a “magazine”, the pages are thick and can’t be easily torn.

All totaled I came up with a value of $34.46 for the March bluum Balancing Act box. While it’s not as “valuable” as the January and February boxes I received, it is well over the $24.95/month price tag of this box. Plus every single item is usable, which is always nice!

Did you get a March bluum box? What’d you think? And what was your theme and what all came in your box? I’d love to hear! If you don’t subscribe and want to, or just want to learn more, click here. Try code “bluumVIP” to save $5 off your first month!

I am shocked you got the March box in March. We love Happy Tot in this house. Though Owen does not like the rice cakes very much. But the Happy Creamies and squeezies are always welcome.

We received the Balancing Act box a couple months ago (would’ve been 15-mon as well). My twins are still chewers so be careful with those edushape things. My daughter was still able to bite a chunk off!
This month we received the Fine Dining box (17 months). We received a plate, yogurt drops, 2 sippy cup straps, a baby bib (???), Boogie Wipes, and Dapple toy/surface wipes. I should have aged up like you did. I was a bit disappointed with my box. I cancelled.

I got citrus lane today…not super impressed :-/ and feeling ok that we skipped bluum now, after seeing your stuff..

The HappyCreamies — are they similar to the Gerber Fruit and Veggie bites? At least in shape/size/idea? They look and sound really good. And if they are, OMG my kids would both eat them up. Savannah still thinks she should be eating baby snacks, for some crazy reason, and will eat an entire bag of those yogurt bites in one sitting if I let her.

We had the thera pearl eye mask, sports pack, contour pack (I bought them from woot.com)…. BUT I didn’t know about the Children’s Pals! The frog and the pig are def my favorite out of the 4. So cute!

I got some stuff I could’ve bought at a dollar store, not that I would.. yellow smiley face stickers?!
