April Bulu Box Weight Loss

I received my April Bulu Box (the weight loss one) earlier this week and, this is totally unlike me, but I didn’t even open it up until today!  Crazy right?  If you aren’t familiar, Bulu Box offers a great way to discover vitamin, supplement and health products each month.  And, much like Birchbox, you are able to review your samples for points to spend in their store.

The Box

I have realized lately that there are a lot of orange subscription boxes out there?  Or maybe I just notice the orange because I love it so much?

Bulu Box
First Look

Could this be the worst first look picture ever?  It’s possible.  I should mention that Bulu Box ships via USPS, however, they do not send out a tracking number.  They ship every month around the 15th, so you have a good idea when to expect your box.

The Information Card

The information card includes pictures and descriptions of all of the products in the box.  On the reverse side is a “My Sample Journal” which lists each of the samples and then asks how you felt before the sample and how you left after so you can easily remember, yeah I like that one, or nope, that wasn’t for me.  Love this idea!  Here’s what was inside:

~Click Protein: I cannot even tell you how many Click samples I have gotten in my subscription boxes and you know what, I don’t think I have ever tried it (B usually has it).  Isn’t that crazy? I am making it my goal with this one for sure.  I WILL try this!

~EBoost Natural Energy: I am still Diet Pepsi free, so this is great for me! I gotta tell, you I do feel better not drinking soda.  I mean the eating clean totally helps as well, but I have a lot more energy!

~Real Food Barre: Ohhh, I cannot wait to try this!  It was created by two pro dancers who were looking for energy and substance to get them through recital days.  I LOVE energy bars so I am really looking forward to this!

~ONNIT Shroom Tech Sport: The information card says this is used my many professional athletes to natural, clean energy with no jitters of crash.  I’m always a little nervous about trying supplements, so I want to have B try it first.  He’ll tell me if it works!

~HIIT Series DVD: This is a 30 minute workout that promises to melt away the pounds and something tells me that it would kick my butt.  So yeah, I should give it a try.

~Dr. Denese Glow Younger Self Tanning Glove: I am so excited about this you have no idea.  You know what a great subscription box would be?  One full of different types of self tanner products!  I have never tried a tanning glove, so this is going to be fun to test!

I didn’t go a cost breakdown of my Bulu Box because I think it’s clear that it’s worth over the $10 cost of the box.   I mean, the tanning glove alone is worth $3.50 and then with the referral points you’ll earn from reviewing, your box really only cost $4!!

I got the bulu weight loss box too, but I got different products (Dream water, Aeroshot, Vitamin C Spray, Immuno Gum, and Fish oil). I guess it is like Birchbox and they send out different boxes.

      @Lauren:

I got the same one as you. I love, love, LOVE the $50 iTrain gift card I got in my version! So excited to use it!

I am curious about the Barre Bar. Also- HIIT is the new thing these days…well, interval training has always been around, but it’s def the “it” workout. I am curious how a video seems.

How do you earn points from reviewing Birchbox? I looked in my account and it’s really vague….it says earn points by referring friends or buying full size items but nothing about reviews? Or am I missing something? Lol

I thought the real food Barre was awesome! my son even shared it with me. I can’t wait to try the tanning glove too!

This was my first Bulu weight loss box and I really liked it. I am now in my 40’s and trying to stay away from the tanning bed, so I did try the tanning glove (which I was so excited to try) and I really liked that it went on clear, my palms turned brown even though I washed them immediately after, and although the scent was minimal (better than all other self-tanners I have tried) there was a tanning scent. Im not convinced the coloring is natural looking but may still buy to use occassionally.

I think I found my new subscription 🙂

I do not recommend Bulu Box. I was lucky enough to get my subscription inexpensively through Groupon. I had ordered the weight loss box and not only was less than half my box comprised of weight loss related items/supplements, but the stuff I tried was disgusting. Most of the items were completely unrelated to weight loss or were for children. I tried a packaged cracker and hummus that was gross, an energy ball labeled “delicious” that made me want to throw up, and an appetite suppressant that made me jittery, unfocused, sweaty, and light-headed. It’s gotten to the point where I’m afraid to try anything else in their boxes. I still have 3 months left of my subscription, I’m not sure what I’m going to do. Please don’t waste your money on this company.
