I’m Totally Trying It – The {February Edition} Results!

Okay, I am FINALLY posting the results of my February “I’m Totally Trying It” post! Seeing as how it’s already April, I’d say I am just a tad behind in posting my results. ย Sorry.

~Parenthood: Okay, I love it. The Braverman’s have me hooked. I am still trying to catch up (there are a lot of old episodes people), but I can never just watch one at a time. I have to watch at least two. I’d totally recommend this show to anyone!!!

~Stila BB Cream: This was my first time ever trying a BB Cream and I am sold. However, I don’t know that this is my holy grail product. I mean I liked it and all, but I want to try others! I found that mixing this with a little lotion worked best for me. Is it like this with all BB creams? I think I am going to try a drugstore brand (L’Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier to be exact) next. I am anxious to see how the $8 L’Oreal stacks up against the $38 Stila! ย And of course I will let you know!

~Sushi: Well I failed at trying sushi. That was what was holding up my review as a matter of fact. B and I don’t make it out to dinner much, so there haven’t been too many chances. However, one night while B was off for Spring Break and L was at his Nana’s house for the night, we did go out to dinner (with WB) and I was all this is it, I am ordering sushi! Umm, too bad the place I picked didn’t have sushi. Note to self – just because the name of the place has “fish” in it and is on the fancy side, does NOT mean they sell sushi. I am still planing on trying it though, I swear.

~Drinking & Tweeting by Brandi Glanville: Best item on my I’m Totally Trying It list by far! Awesome book and if you are like me, you’ll read it in one sitting. She has NO filter and that’s what’s so great about the book. Brandi does NOT care and I love her even more now than I did before I read the book. Team Brandi all the way!

~Honest Laundry Pods: I had mixed results with these. 90% of the time they worked perfect. I threw them in my washer and they did their job and that was that. But the other 10% of the time I noticed they didn’t disintegrate all the way? I don’t know if this is the products fault or mine since I do have a tendency to overload the washer. I need to pay more attention to see if they are related? But either way, I will totally add these to my next bundle! Way easier than measuring and pouring liquid detergent.

So there you have it! Have you tried and loved (or hated) anything recently? I have a some April items I am trying and should have that post up later this week. And I swear I will get those results up sooner than I did these. And who knows, maybe I will have even tried sushi by then ;).

I super love your I’m Totally Trying It series. Can’t wait to see what you’re trying next!

I tried the Tide pods and they did the same thing to me. I do different sizes of loads so I know that wasn’t the reason. I have a front loader so I don’t know if that affected it or not since those use less water than top loaders.

Have you thought about somehow making this a link-up? I would definitely join in!

Love the I’m Totally Trying it feature. ๐Ÿ™‚ I wear BB cream over my moisturizer, that seems to be perfect. I’ve tried a few different brands, Too Faced and Dr. Jart’s are my favorite. I grab Dr. Jart’s most of the time because of the high SPF. It’s soccer season, I need to protect my face! And – I almost bought Brandy’s book last night during B&N’s half price sale, but I decided I was winning April’s favorite things, so I didn’t need to. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Parenthood is a.m.a.z.i.n.g. My only complaint is that the seasons are always short/end early. This time it ended back in February I think?

Sushi is gross, you are not missing anything, lol. I know so so many people would totally disagree with that statement!

I am a sushi lover. My favorite is an Alaskan roll. I just got my husband to try it in the last year and he is majorly hooked. I bet you will love it!

I use Tide laundry pods and occasionally they don’t disintegrate all the way, but only when I use the “short wash” setting. If I do a normal color load I’ve never had an issue. So my suggestion is just make sure you’re using the longer setting for washing.

I tried the Maybelline BB cream because I wanted to try a drugstore one, and I had some success with a small Dr. Jart sample.. It sucked. The only color that matched my skin was the almost no tint one and both times I used it, I broke out the next day. I think my next try will be a L’oreal as well. I am saving BB points and hoping for something for use at Sephora for my birthday month soon.

I have only tried the Garnier BB cream, and not pleased with it (it’s sticky) but I have 2 tubes of it so maybe I will try mixing some lotion in it like you did with the Stila. One of these days I will learn having a coupon for makeup doesn’t mean I need to try it. I tried the Honest laundry pods recently and didn’t like them because of residue on the clothes, this month I am trying their liquid laundry detergent to see if I like it better.

Really like your reviews. Very honest and straight forward. Good Job.

You should definitely get the chance to try sushi! I used to eat sushi every week but I don’t the chance anymore. I don’t usually like the really raw stuff but I can handle some. My favorite types have the salmon or crab in them!

I tried sushi once and wasn’t all that impressed, but that might be because I’m not really a fish person. I have noticed sushi stations at Chinese buffets, so that’s an option next time you guys go out to eat. Or you could pick some up at your grocery store? Good luck!

I did not like the loreal BB cream. The garnier one is my favorite out of all the ones I tried its $11-12. Oh, and if you liked the drinking and tweeting book you would love the Chelsea Handler series…they are hilarious and of course she’s even less sensored in her books!

I tried “The Good Wife” over spring break and loved it. That is the same way I stumbled upon “Parenthood.” There are a few back seasons of it on Amazon Prime to get you started. ๐Ÿ™‚
