May Birchbox Man

B’s Birchbox Man was scheduled to arrive yesterday, but for whatever reason, didn’t turn up until today.  I love when I track it on my Posted app and it does from “0” days to expected delivery to “?”.  It’s like we don’t know what happened either, sorry.  It’ll come eventually, so I don’t worry about it anymore.

The Box

I thought Birchbox Man might do a special box because May is their 1st birthday (Happy Birthday Birchbox Man), but it was the same box they always use.  Same outer box too (so I skipped that picture this month).

First Look

I’ve seen a few reviews for the May Birchbox Manbox, but I am always excited to check it out for myself and see the sizes of all the products.  This month I knew exactly what was in the box (I looked at the spoilers because it was their anniversary), but sometimes I actually don’t!

The Information Card

The May Birchbox Man theme is “All Grown Up” and this month’s shipment is dedicated to being a grown-up, “with all its attendant responsibilities and perks”. Here’s what it included:

~Bread & Boxers Boxer Briefs ($18): B is going to love these!! The box options were either the boxer briefs and shoelaces or the belt and no show socks. I was totally hoping to get the boxers even though the belt is more valuable. And I am guessing these boxer briefs are really something. $18/pair? I’m going to have to save up my Birchbox points!

~Benjo’s Shoelaces($8): So while I think B would wear these, he does not have any tie dress shoes. He got some shoelaces in the Men’s PopSugar Luxury Box and hasn’t been able to use those yet either. I am going to make sure his next work shoes are tie shoes (is there a fancy name for these?) so he can wear all these fancy shoelaces he has!

~Billy Jealousy Sake Bomb Body Moisturizer($2.25): Umm, pretty sure I love the name of this lotion. I’m not going to lie, it kind of makes me want to go to Benihana and have those guys make my food in front of me and drink, well, some sake!! But in all seriousness, this lotion smells good and doesn’t leave any greasy residue.

~Marvis Toothpaste ($1.40): I thought B had received this before, but after doing a search, it appears he didn’t. It’s possible I have always just wantedB to receive this because I like the packaging so much. B will totally use this and he could even end up ordering more!

~COOLA Classic SPF 30 Cucumber Moisturizer for Face($4.33): I love moisturizer with SPF in it and I don’t know if B does, but he should. It’s one less step in your morning routine, which totally helps. Skip your moistuizer and just use this!

All totaled, B’s May Birchbox Man had a value of $33.98, (NOT including points for doing reviews and purchasing the box itself – which would bring the value up to $40.98), which was, as always, way more than the $20 price tag. We totally love Birchbox Man and B looks forward to receiving this box every month. Plus, all of the items in this month’s box will get used (just like last month), which is always key!

If you (or your man) subscribe to Birchbox what’d you think of this month? And if you don’t subscribe, click here to sign-up!  And if you are placing a full size order of $35+, don’t forget to use code “BBMANBDAY” to score 50 bonus Birchbox points or “MANBOX” to score a FREE Birchbox Man box with a $50 purchase OR “comeback20” to save 20% on your order of $50+!  Happy shopping!!  Might want to start thinking about a subscription or some goodies for Father’s Day!

(*) If you want to see all the boxes this month, click here and change the 1 at the end to anything from a 2 to 17 since there were 17 box variations this month. Although, the last few boxes looked exactly the same, so I am not sure what’s up with that?
