FAIRteasure is a brand new monthly subscription box that brings you handmade treasures each month. Their mission is to bring you ethically sourced treasures from around the world, delivering a beautiful surprise for you — and a brighter future for the people who make them!
Since FAIRteasure is fairly new I had NO idea what to expect. The box was on the smaller size, had FAIRteasure stamped on the size and shipped via USPS.
I wish I could have captured the smell of the FAIRteasure box. It smelled AMAZING!! Seriously amazing. I opened the box and right away thought, wow, this is going to be good. I *think* what it was lavender, but I am not 100% sure. I should have asked B because he totally would have been able to identify it for me. All I know is that it made the box smell amazing.
FAIRteasureincludes an information card for each of the items, as well as, a general information card about the company. The information cards on the items give you a little background on what the company’s do, their mission and how they are helping in those countries. Here is what came in my box:
~ASHA Handcrafts Dressed Up Bangle(India): ASHA Handcrafts empowers women in India by promoting products made by women. Also, they provide education assistance for children, medical checkups and treatment, a health center, savings programs and so much more for their 6,500 artisans in 10 states of India. As for the bracelet, it’s even prettier in person. My pictures do it no justice! It would be a totally cool additional to any arm party and would so be a conversation piece! I would love to see what else they offer!
~Craft Link She Sells Sea Shells Dish(Vietnam): So I opened this dish and immediately got scared that I would drop it. It’s so beautiful that I don’t want anything to happen to it. Ever. I am going to use it to hold my rings / earrings when I am not wearing them, which is pretty much all the time. Craft Link works with Vietnamese artists, 85% of whom are women, with a focus on ethnic minorities, street children and artisans with disabilities. I would really love it if they told you exactly which artist makes these items because I want to know! It’s seriously stunning!
Since these items are not available online, I have no idea how to value them. I wish they did have some online shops though because they would make perfect gifts! FAIRteasure is $30/month and I think I did get at least $30 worth of value from the box. Because it’s not like you are going to find these pieces anywhere else and I love that!

Man! I know this is a long shot but I emailed FairTreasure to see if there is a way to purchase the ASHA bangle because I didn’t see that as an option on the website. This would be such a perfect gift for my mom’s birthday (who is all about what ASHA represents…and who also is an african drum instructor and women’s drum circle instructor!!) Hopefully I hear something back…I would order a box but I would get next month’s box if I ordered now! Fingers crossed!
I love that these products support female led businesses in the third world! For this reason Fair Treasure is truly a standout box! LOL, I have clicked SO MANY of your links and then subscribed to boxes you have reviewed. But you deserve it because the reviews help me make up my mind!! 🙂 Thinking about signing up for this one, too.
Love the breacelet, too!!!! If you figure out how to buy one, please let me know!
Hi!
First let me say, I love reading all your reviews!!!
& secondly, I just wanted to let you know that I found the bangle bracelet (I just ordered one & am so excited to get it!!! 🙂 You can find it on Ten Thousand Villages.com…it’s called the Mumbai Treasure Bracelet, priced at $18, but there are coupon codes online for 25% off (code:1000576 should work) making the total $13.50 plus tax & shipping. Such a great price for such a pretty piece & such a worthy company! …hope this helps!
@jenn: I forgot to mention, the seashell dish is also available on the same website, in case anyone is interested. It’s listed under the “tabletop” option as Teal Sea Scallop Dish for $12
