So What Wednesday

It’s So What Wednesday over at Life After I Dew and I’m linking up! This week I am saying SO WHAT if….

~I read some blog posts and think you did NOT just write that.  Maybe I am worried too much about offending people or people taking some things the wrong way, but still.  Sometimes a bit of a filter is a good thing!

~I feel weird calling people that read my blog “my readers”.  I don’t know why, but I don’t like it.  I guess I like to consider everyone that reads are my friends?  I mean I feel like I “know” everyone you know?

~I am obsessed with eggs benedict.  So delicious.  How do the eggs get so flipping fluffy??

~I think I am going to cry when The Office ends this week.  Boo ;(.  I love that show!

~B and I talk all the time about our garage sale, but umm, we have no clue when we are actually having one.  We have like zero free weekends and while I am a bit crazy and did actually briefly consider it, I am NOT having a garage sale without B home.

~I keep telling B that I am coming to Bonnaroo with him.  LOL!  In all honesty, it sounds fun, for about two hours.  And then I would want to go home.  Not back to my tent.

~I have been a horrible blog commenter lately.  I’m sorry.  I promise to be better again super soon!!

~I don’t use the treadmill I have zero idea how slow / fast I am walking or running.  How on earth does one learn to pace themselves?  Do I need some special app to yell at me for going to fast or too slow like B has?

~I can’t recall the last time just B and I went to dinner alone?  I mean we hang out alone, but it’s just not outside the house!

That’s it from here. What are you saying so what to this week?

I have an app called walk tracker that you start on your phone when you begin and then every quarter mile it tells you your distance, pace, etc. Then I know if I am walking too slow I need to pick it up. Love it. And I’m also in mourning over The Office. Pam and Jim forever!

I do agree that sometimes a filter is a good thing.

I had a garage sale this past Sat. It was a one day sale (and it was flippin cold…MN). My biggest ticket item was $25 (two of them) and everything else was $10 or under. Most things were under a dollar. And all kids clothes was .25 (cents) a piece / outfit…..cheap! It was either a make a small profit on the clothes or I was just giving them away (I still took 7 bags of clothes/shoes/toys to goodwill on Sunday). I made just about $400. I was pleasantly surprised. I probably could have sold more if I had done the sale for two days….but I was only willing to give one day. It was a TON of work and no way could I have done it by myself….thanks to my mom and husband’s help, it was a success. So yes, you should NOT have the sale if your husband isn’t going to be there. 🙂 Good luck!

We’re sad about the Office too 🙁 There were a couple of not great seasons/chunks of shows in there, but I still watched every single episode. This last season has been great! 🙁 🙁 🙁

Bonnaroo would be fun if you stayed in a hotel. Just like when we’ve gone to see DMB all 3 nights up at the Gorge in Washington. No camping–hotel staying instead! LOL

I want to have a garage sale, but now Tom works every Saturday. Kinda makes that tough.

I love eggs benedict too! It is the perfect breakfast. Do you like crab cakes? Every once in a while I will come across crab cake eggs benedict and it is heaven on earth!

The office! Don’t make me cry! And I’m an eggs Benedict fan too. I will try every version out there.

Nike Fit works well too. You can upload the app on your phone and you dont need the Nike shoes. They make attachments you can put on your laces on any shoes and it keeps track of pace. You can also set up distances or time you want to walk and over headphones she will tell you when you are halfway and so on. You can also hit a button on your phone and she will tell you right then how far you’ve gone and how far you have to go.

      Sorry, Nike+, not Nike Fit.

Do NOT have a garage sale on your own! Maybe rope in a couple of friends to help out too, as there will be times when you’re swamped and things get crazy! And there will be dead times too, so you need someone to talk to and keep you company. We had everything priced to sell and were practically giving stuff away, but people still wanted to haggle! No, I will not sell you that $10 vase for ten cents if it’s marked a quarter! Silly people. *shakes head*

I don’t know if you have Trader Joe’s near you, but they have premade hollandaise sauce in the refrigerator section (they keep moving it at mine, but the people there can usually help you find it) it makes eggs Benedict at home ridiculously easy. You can make it with whatever you have on hand and it is so good! I’ve even been sticking the latkes they have in the freezer section under my eggs over the English muffin with bacon and arugula. Ridiculous. I poach my eggs using Cook’s illustrated directions, or if feeling lazy do them Sunnyside up. Sorry for the Rando capitalization, Siri does whatever she wants.

I use Map My Walk. It shows me where I walked (helps to figure out that X route is 1.5 miles etc), how long it took me, how many calories I’ve burned etc. As soon as we can we’re getting one of those Fit Bit Flex which will also tell me how I’m sleeping (or not sleeping as the case may be).

So what if I joined every free birthday club known to man and have been spending my birthday week eating free foods from everywhere? It’s only one week (or so) and it’s MY birthday!
