Bonjour Jolie is a mother-daughter company that provides what you need, as well as what you want, to sail through your monthly periods with ease. Their company is focused on providing a monthly subscription service that discreetly delivers the feminine supplies you need along with product samples and a few things to pamper and sooth you too.
Bonjour Jolie ships via USPS Priority Mail – my favorite. When it arrived yesterday, we were outside talking to my neighbor (the one who got my mail for me when I was gone) and she’s all ohhhh look who got packages. I think I got 4 yesterday from the mail lady? Ha!!!
I really enjoyed the first Bonjour Jolie box I received, so I was looking forward to seeing what this one held. And from the first (and second) looks, it did not disappoint. Sometimes first boxes from a new company are amazing and then no box after that lives up to that first box standard. However, that was NOT the case here!
The June Bonjour Jolie theme is “Summer of Color” and the information card is perfect for that theme. I love it! Here’s what this month’s box included:
The Gift:
~Pop Beauty Full Size Stain ($16): I have never tried this before and it’s so cool that I now want every single color they have. It’s a marker. It’s not a brush or even a crayon. It’s a marker. So cool!!
The Edibles:
~2 Chicks With Chocolate 4-piece Truffle Set ($7.95): When I saw that there was chocolate in the box, I got a little nervous. I mean it’s warm out! But it arrived in perfect condition. And B ate these yesterday and totally enjoyed them. He declared he “needed chocolate” after uprooting a tree from our yard. These were a great treat ;).
~Touch Organics Teas – 5 Bags ($1.04): My feelings on tea are no secret, but B will enjoy these. Is it weird that B is now claiming 2 of the 3 items in my “time of the month” box? Maybe. But seriously, he drinks tea daily. Loves it.
The Pampering:
~Moroccan Rose Soap Petals: These can be used to fragrance your bathroom or throw a few petals in your bathtub for a relaxing soak. I’m considering using them as guest soap. I know people would have no clue they are suppose to wash their hands with a petal, but it’d look cool!
~Rusk Deepshine Shampoo / Conditioner Set, Kiehl’s Superbly Restorative Lotion, Summer’s Eve Cleansing Cloths, Advil (Samples): Totally usable samples. I’ve never tried this Kiehl’s lotion, so I am most looking forward to that! Well that and the Advil, which I am always happy to have!
~The Supplies:
Bonjour Jolie allows you to select from ANY size, combination and brand of 30 tampons, pads and liners you want. They have tons of options and send you what you need, when you need it. And once again, they sent me that little flyer that comes in all boxes of tampons. I think this may be the only box that does that?
Just like last month, I didn’t do a total value on this box because when it gets to valuing pad and tampons out of the box, well, that’s a little much. But I came up with a quick and dirty calculation of $35 for the box. An amazing deal considering that the box is only $21/month.
What do you think of Bonjour Jolie? It’s one of my favorite time of the month boxes out there because of the fun extras they include! If you are interested in subscribing (they ship to Canada and the U.S.), click here.
I wish they offered an option for just the snacks, treats, etc. I love my reusable silicon cup so I don’t need supplies every month but a little envelope of chocolate and bath stuff every month around that time would be SO cool!
I just signed up. This looks like a really nice box to pick me up during the time when I’m feeling so crappy. Thanks for the review and adding to my growing list of boxes =)
What a great box, for the second time in a row. I may have to treat myself next year after this baby is born. Then I don’t have to worry about getting to the store to buy stuff. Yep, I have a plan. 🙂
OOOh, what a great idea for a box. May have to try this one out, too.
I signed up Memorial Day weekend because they were having a 20% off a 3 month subscription. I had seen the reviews and it looked pretty good. I ordered on the 26th and received it 3 days later. It was just like you showed on the review. Great products and presentation. I’m happy to see the next box looks just as good. I LOVED the chocolates. Thanks for all the info you give us Jennifer! Keep up the great work!
ohmygodchocolate… love! Did you get the new treatsie box? I got one for my hubby for his 40th bday (along w/ a spicy, birchbox man, and a boink box!). I was disappointed the treatsie box didn’t have any chocolate in it, but they said it’s because they won’t do chocolate in the summer so it won’t melt. (even w/ the ice pack it was pretty warm, and it wasn’t even a warm day!!)
I don’t have to deal with the time of the month anymore because I’m on a continuous pill but I would still love to get this box! Just because I’m not out of commission for 10 days like I used to be doesn’t mean that this girl doesn’t need some pampering. I wonder if anyone would judge me if I got this and saved the “special supplies” for friends…
I just subbed! This looks like one of the better TOM boxes that I’ve seen (:
This is definitely my favorite out of all the “time of the month” box brands I’ve seen. I love how you can choose between tampons, pads, and liners however you want and their pampering items are awesome! Really glad you wrote about them – they’ve definitely made my wishlist. 🙂
This does look awesome! Lipgloss in a box meant for a period would totally cheer me up. My only issue is that I would rather be sent a full box than an opened box. That is just me being weird. I am trying to have a baby so I know as soon as I ordered I would be pregnant. lol.
