June bluum Box (Fine Dining)

My May bluum box FINALLY showed up today. I’d kind of been wondering where that thing was. Unlike in April, they didn’t ship quickly this (well last) month. I hope it’s doesn’t mean they are going back to this old ways!

The Box

bluum ships via DHL Global Mail (it starts out with DHL and then transfers to the Post Office) and took forever this month. It shipped on May 24th and just arrived today (June 4th). And it only came from New Jersey 😉

First Look

I’d seen some other Fine Dining spoilers this month, so I sort of knew what to expect.  But the again, who knows with bluum?  I should mention that WB gets the 17 month-old box because I aged him up a while back.

The Information Card

I mention it every time, but bluum doesn’t have a true information card.  Instead, they have a card which describes that month’s theme (ours was “Fine Dining”) and a little about your baby’s age and a general discussion about the items in the box.  17 month-olds will always get “Fine Dining”, 16 month-olds will always get “Cuddle Time” and so on.  On the day your box is delivered (or the day after), you get an e-mail with the box contents and a description of each item.  I have realized that bluum doesn’t print the box contents on the information card anymore because they aren’t always the same.  Last month’s Fine Dining might be a bit different than this months.

Here’s what our box included:

~BooginHead SippiGrip ($5.99): I’ve seen these around, but for whatever reason, I never bought one.  I’m not sure why not since, umm, WB drops (on purpose of course), his sippy up probably a dozen times during the course of a meal.  No one believes it, but WB is a fiesty one.  He doesn’t talk, but it’s quite clear what he wants and doesn’t want.  Quite clear.

~Boogie Wipes Gentle Saline Wipes for Little Noses ($3.99): I love Boogie Wipes so I was thrilled to see these in the box.  Who doesn’t love them?  I also love that they have a secure snap that closes them.  I had some other wipes in my bag that had one of those sticker closures and umm, I guess I didn’t close them.  Those wipes soaked into my passport like crazy. It’s dry now, but a tad crispy if you know what I mean!

~Kid’s 4-Section Myplate by Fresh Baby ($8.95): I totally love this plate and plan to use it  in the months to come with WB.  Heck, it’s even a good lesson for L.  They just got done going over healthy and not healthy foods at school and what you should be eating, etc.  I love the dual purpose of this plate!

Crocodile Creek – Harvest of Color Placemat

~Crocodile Creek – Harvest of Color Placemat ($2.95): While cute, I am not sure we will ever use this placemat.  It was all rolled up in the box and doesn’t lay (or lie – I think either could be used here no?) flat and even it it did, WB would pull it and send whatever was on it flying.  I do like those placemats that you stick to the table.  Those are genius and perfect for eating out.

~Petites Frites Magical Monday Bib ($10): You can never have too many bibs, so I am happy about this bib.  I could care less if WB wears a Monday bib on Wednesday.  I’m just happy to have a clean bib for him.  And happy to remember to actually put it on him BEFORE he starts eating ;).

All totaled, my May “Fine Dining” bluum box had a value of $31.88.  bluum is $24.95/month, so it was over the price of the box, which is nice (essential actually).  I enjoyed this month more than last month’s (which was Cuddle Time), but it’s not my favorite.  I am totally looking forward to next month’s box though, which will be the “Lil’ Artiste” theme!

Did you get an April bluum box? What’d you think? And what was your theme and what all came in your box? I’d love to hear! If you don’t subscribe and want to, or just want to learn more, click here.
