Try as I might, I just could pass up the PopSugar Special Edition Must Have Summer Box for Him. I was doing SO good and wasn’t swayed by the spoilers or anything and then people started getting their boxes.  And I got excited about the box and told B what was in it.  He looked all sad that I hadn’t ordered it and that was that. I ordered it.   I’m not even going to try to be strong next time.  I’ll just order right away like I normally do.

Unlike the monthly PopSugar boxes which ship via FedEx Smart Post, the Special Edition Summer Fun boxes shipped via FedEx Ground.  I actually think it took about the same amount of time to arrive this month though because the Summer for Him box came from CA.

Inside the plain brown box was black box with the PopSugar logo.  It’s the same box the Women’s Summer Fun box came in actually.  And yeah, this picture is awful.  The box looks all dirty, which I can assure was not how it really was.

Since I’d seen spoilers before I even opened it, I thought I knew what to expect.  But I totally forgot about this plaid tissue paper.  So stylish!  And yes, I saved it.

Just like all the other special edition boxes, the items in the Summer for Him box were all individually wrapped.  B was home when I opened the box and had a great time opening each individual item.  Although I told him exactly what was in the box, he only half listens when I talk, so he didn’t know everything ;).

The PopSugar Summer for Him Box has everything you (or your man) needs to kick back, look sharp and impress your party guests at summer barbecues and extended brunches.  Here’s what it included:

~Proof Sunglasses (Ontario) ($130):  These sunglasses were pretty much the make or break item in the box.  If you like them, the box is a deal.  If not, well, you probably aren’t overly thrilled with this box.  I didn’t think B would be into these, but I was wrong.  I showed him the spoiler and he was all THOSE LOOK COOL.  They are made of wood and are very lightweight.  And the box they came in?  It’s wood too and has a slide off lid.  I’m going to steal it when B’s not looking.

~Ivy Prepster Pocket Square ($40): I swear, if B wore suits, he would so rock a pocket square, but he hasn’t had to wear a suit in ages.  I can assure you though, at the next quite event, he will wear one of the pocket squares he now owns.  In the mean time, I might tie this in my hair over the 4th of July for a festive look.  It’s perfect for the holiday, so why not use it any way I can?

~Anthony Logistics for Men Facial Lotion ($32): My lotion box looks like it went through a battle before it got to me! It totally had a rough ride.  Luckily, I wasn’t planning on regifting this, so It’s totally fine.  I’m not sure what moisturizer B is using now (and took with him for the weekend), but I wish he would have taken this.   It has an SPF15 in it and since he going to be outside all weekend, it’s totally necessary.

~stu’s This is Bloody – Mary Mix – ($9): B got this in a Mantry box months ago and we both enjoyed it, but of course, that bottle is long gone.   With this mix you can make the perfect bloody mary every time!  If you like bloody mary’s, try this mix!

~S’Well Water Bottle ($35): This is totally what B was most excited about in the box.  When I got my PopSugar Summer Fun Box, he started eying my water bottle and was so jealous of all of it’s capabilities (it can keep cold beverages cold for 24 hours and your hot beverages hot for 12 hours).  So when he heard it was in this box, he was SOLD.  I know we would have ended up buying another S’Well bottle anyway, so this worked out perfect.

~Modern Gourmet Wing Sauces ($7.99): I can’t recall B ever making chicken wings, but he says he’s going to now that he has these difference sauces.  It’ll be like in a BW3’s in here!

~Stuff Every Man Should Know ($8.96): This book really does include everything a man should know, including how to shotgun a beer, change a tire, how to propose, etc. You want to know? It’s in here.  I’m going to read up on how to bet on horses.  I’d love to learn more about that myself.

All totaled I came up with a value of $262.95 for the PopSugar Special Edition Must Have Summer for Him box.  Well over the $100 we paid for the box, so we’re happy.  Plus, I knew exactly what was in it before I ordered it, so how could I not be happy you know?
