I hadn’t checked out the Summer styles on their site, but I’d seen a post on MUT about the Summer Elizabeth & Clarke box, so I was anxious to get mine!   The cost is $30 for one shirt, $50 for two shirts ($25/each) and $60 for three shirts ($20/each).

The Information Card

Elizabeth & Clarke doesn’t really come with an information card.  Instead, it’s more of a note that lets you know what’s in the box, why they selected them and also guides you to their blog for style ideas.   Oh, and it also lets you know that if you are not 100% in love with something, you can return it for a refund – and free shipping!  Wantable allows you to return boxes as well (they offer cosmetics and jewelry) and I think it’s amazing.  Subscription boxes are a risk and sometimes you want to try, but just don’t know.  The ability to be able to return items takes the scariness away!

the ARDEN: The ARDEN is a favorite from Elizabeth & Clarke’s first collection.  It’s a white sleeveless, short front, long back shirt, with a covered placket.  It’s 100% luxury microfiber poly and is machine washable which totally shocked me.  I thought FOR SURE this was dry clean only.  Nope!  Score!  I probably wouldn’t wear this alone, but I love the thought of laying it under a sweater for the office (I’ll have to go back one day I’m sure).  The quality is amazing and really is something you’d find in a high-end department store or a fancy boutique.

the ARDEN

Since I take take horrible clothing pictures (seriously, clothes and nail polish are the hardest things to photograph), I borrowed some pictures from the Elizabeth & Clarke website so you could get a better idea of the pieces and some style ideas.

~theHURLEY: The HURLEY is a sophisticated black boatneck with a gorgeous laser-cut asymmetrical hem and is probably my favorite piece in this box.  It’s 100% cotton and machine washable (and dryer safe) and is something I’d totally buy. LOVE.

theHURLEY

Can you see why I am using stock pictures in addition to my own?  The shirt looks like the stock picture!  The lighting is all off in mine.

theHURLEY

I’m not brave enough to rock colored jeans (I know they are cool, I just can’t do it), but this girl certainly can pull it off!  I’ll probably pair this with leggings and if I am feeling totally crazy, I might even pick up a pair of printed ones.  Wild I know!

theHURLEY

~theFORD: Elizabeth & Clarke describes the theFORD as the perfect white summer linen.  It’s got convertible sleeves and snap-front closure and could transition from a beach cover-up to summer evening in no time.  I could never pull this off as an evening look, but as a beach cover-up?  Oh, totally!  I never ever would have thought about that without checking out their website.

theFORD

Looking at this picture makes me realize what a great coverup this would be!  I love the sleeves and it’s a great length.

theFORD

She can totally pull this look off.  Me?  Not so much.

Since the shirts are Elizabeth & Clarke branded, I cannot go online and do a price comparison for you.  But I can tell you it’d be beyond hard to get the quality you are getting here for $60.  I thought this with the Spring box and I feel the same way with the Summer one.  And I also love that if you are not 100% happy, return shipping is free.  So if you don’t love it, you aren’t stuck with it you know?

Did you get an Elizabeth & Clarke Summer Box?  What’d you think?  If not, what’s your favorite piece that I received?  If you are interested in subscribing or just want to learn more, click here.
