I can’t remember if I told B that we were getting a Fantasy Box or not, but I know he was excited when he came home from work and found it sitting on the counter.  In case you haven’t heard of them, The Fantasy Box is a subscription service for comprehensive fantasies designed to bring a little “kick” into your intimate relationship. Some fantasies will be for the guy, some for the girl, some will make you laugh, some will be down and dirty.

Like all of the other adult boxes I have reviewed, The Fantasy Box comes in a totally indistinguishable box.  I didn’t even know what it was.

Once I opened the box I totally new what it was.  And I couldn’t wait to see what was inside.

I thought the box was totally cute and quite fancy. I might even use this box to regift something. Assuming that someone is B.  Because maybe, just maybe, it’d be weird to give it to a relative.

Right away I thought, yep, this will be another box that B loves!  I

Unlikes lots of the other boxes, The Fantasy Box gives you instructions and guidance on, well, what to do with the stuff.  The themes of this box (aka the first box) revolve around communication and anticipation.  The Fantasy Box suggests carving out a night to “do” this box, which starts with a romantic dinner and a role-playing game.

During dinner you are suppose to complete and discuss your questionnaires.  They both have the same questions, but the point is to answer honestly and see if you are on the same page or not.  The questions?  OMG, B and I were cracking up.  My favorites included  “I want you so badly when you” (which I replied go to Target with me and clean the house) and “If it were up to me, foreplay would last…” (B replied what’s that? – JK)!

Step 2 is to pick if you want to be the Follower or the Leader.  B wanted to read the cards first and I was like dude, no, that’s not how it works.  The “Leader” well, leads.  They tell The Follower what to do, what to wear, etc.   I should mention that this has not gone down at our house yet because we can’t quite get to the same page on the beard.  B thinks it’s sexy.  I thought it was sexy about 2 weeks ago and now I am over.it.

Electric Lingerie Lace and Mesh BabyDoll Dress Top & Thong ($25): I couldn’t find this exact set online, but found the top and then estimated the rest.  I actually think this is super cute.  And not super slutty, which is key.

~Sex & Mischief Satin Black Blindfold ($5.99): Obviously this item is to be worn by “The Follower”.  I actually already have a blindfold (I actually think I have a few – seriously who am I), but this totally fits the “theme” so it’s perfect

~DONA Massage Candle (Camu Camu) ($9.99): I don’t know what Camu Camu is supposed to smell like, but it smells quite good to me.  It’s not all strong and crazy.  The instructions allow you to decide if / how you will use the toys, candle, etc. so if you want to get all kinky (you know what I mean) or just want to have some candlelight, it’s up to you.   Well wait, it’s up to The Leader!

~Le reve by PipeDream ($25): First of all, if you get this do yourself a favor and just hack into the package with scissors.  This box is SECURE!  Totally be the follower and let the leader open it ;).  It’s waterproof, so you can use it in the shower if you want.  I tested it out (ON MY HAND) and man, it’s got some power.  My hand is still tingly.  I suspect that’s why people like it ;).

~Hot Pink Warming Lubricant for Women ($10): I didn’t see this in the box at first (it was totally buried in the packaging materials), but I was super excited to find it in the box!  It’s not greasy or sticky and doesn’t get too warm.  And I actually wouldn’t even say it has a smell. B had to help me open this too!

All totaled I came up with a value of $75.98 for The Fantasy Box! The box itself is $59/month (you can also opt for the “Platinum Box” for $129/month which includes very high end, top of the line, industry leading products for those who wanted to experience the ultimate in new technology and materials).  I think The Fantasy Box is a great idea for, well, everyone!  I love that you get instructions because, well, sometimes you need a little guidance.  The folks over at Salon.com did a little (adult) box experimenting too and named The Fantasy Box the best!
