Foldigo is one of the reviews I am way behind on and there’s nothing I can do but blame it on L and his social obligations ;). Just kidding. But he seriously is a busy guy. Foldigo is a Canadian company, so they ship from Canada, but the envelope arrived to me very quickly.
Each activity pack contains:
~A short story episode drawn in a comic book style
~One, full colour episode character that can be folded into 3D form.
~A sheet of 2D characters and objects pulled right from the episode to cut out, color, and play with.
~A foldable pop-out background to recreate a scene from the episode (along with the 2D characters).
L worked on coloring the background while I worked on folding Francesca (the dog in the story). Oh my. I don’t know why I thought it would be easy to fold a piece of paper into a dog, but it certainly wasn’t. I seriously broke a sweat. I wrongly assumed that you just folded where the lines were and it all magically held together. After trying this for like 20 minutes I decided to get out the scotch tape. Much better ;). After I was done, I took over coloring for L (he can only handle so much coloring) and he got to work cutting out the 2D characters.
As luck would have it, B arrived home just as I was getting ready to cut out the background, which folds into a 3D display. I wasn’t sure where to begin, but B had everything cut and folded in no time.
I gotta tell you, when I saw all the flat pieces of paper and thought no way is this going to work. No way. But shockingly, it did. And it was a very fun way to bring the story to life. While L enjoyed the coloring, the cutting and the story, but he’d never have been able to fold by himself. Heck I couldn’t even fold it on my own ;).

This looks like so much fun. We had the Imaginext advent calendar and it has a fold up thing too. I ended up taping it together too. It said it didn’t need it but it so did. The boys still use it to set up scenes and play.
This looks like SO much fun. I’m just thinking that with my two little tornadoes, it won’t last very long.
