Friday’s Letters

Dear IKEA, Sadly we were unable to connect this week. Hopefully we’ll be able to work something out next week, because I miss you.

Dear This Week, I don’t know why we didn’t get as much done as we’d planned, but I am sad. Hopefully this weekend is more productive than you have been.

Dear My Laptop, If you are going to die, just do it already. Give me a little warning though so I can back some things up. Oh wait, maybe that’s what you have been doing by giving me all these disk space warnings?

Dear Barnes and Noble, I couldn’t have felt like a bigger idiot looking for “Orange is the New Black” yesterday. Thankfully one of your nice employees located it for me. In the back. No wonder I couldn’t find it on the floor!

Dear WB and L, I cannot wait to see how excited you both are going to be when you see each other today!  Watching you guys Facetime yesterday was the cutest thing ever.

Dear NBC, How about you stop showing commercials for shows that aren’t coming back on the air until late September.  That’s too far out for me to get excited about.  It just ends up annoying me.

Dear L’s School, How about you get that supply list posted on your website?  I see them up for every other school in the district except you.  Oh and WTF is with all the glue sticks on these lists?  That’s A LOT of glue sticks.

Dear B, Thanks for taking the garbage out this week.  I owe you one.  And just thanks.  You are a good guy and I am a lucky girl.

Spread the love

Oh my goodness, I cracked up about the glue sticks! I’ve always wondered why on earth I have to send my kids to school with a gazillion glue sticks! And our supply lists aren’t up on the website either. Hopefully they will be tomorrow as we are making the 2 hour trip to Boise to get them all set with their supplies.
And I just LOVE sibling love! It’s so great to see them excited to see each other after being gone for a few days 🙂

When you connect with IKEA, give it my love haha. Have a great weekend!

How many glue sticks did you need? We only needed 10 but I know some of the other schools here needed 20. LOL I will say I’m pretty sure N has glued something everyday this week so far so they must really go through them fast.

I had the same issue with my old laptop. In fact the bottom of my monitor was being held in place by duct tape and made creaking noises everytime I pried it open. :/ I finally broke down and got a laptop during a sale earlier this year. SO glad I did. Laptops are so much cheaper today than they used to be. I think I paid around a $1,000 for my old laptop (which was crap) and only paid about $300 max for my current laptop (which is lovely). Granted some computers are more expensive, but honestly unless you work in a computer programming field, the cheaper ones will do everything you need. With all the back to school sales going on, now might be the time to shop! Cyber Monday in the fall is also another good time.

I have an unrelated question for you. I remember sometime (maybe weeks/months ago) you mentioned a package tracking iPhone app that you use. I am dying to know which one you use and like. I tried “Slice” for a few weeks but I’m finding it to be super glitchy and I need something else!

I hope your school doesn’t do like my kids’ does and wait until the open house, the day before the first day of school, to release the supply list. Yay for B taking out the trash. I wish I could get the guys to do it over here.

I almost bought Orange is the New Black today at Barnes & Noble. I just couldn’t bring myself to pay $16.00 for a paperback! I am hoping to see it at Costco and if not there I will hit our local used bookstore.

I hope you get your Ikea trip! Also that’s no fun that your lap top is threatening to die on you. My iPhone is starting to make me wonder if I can really not upgrade at the end of the year/my contract. I thought I could skip getting a new phone….lately I’m not so sure.
