~Today marks B’s last furlough day (holla!) and we were planning on going to a local fair, but it’s suppose to rain so I need to find some indoor fun. I’m not yet clear on what that’s going to be though. I am guessing that the boys might not think an afternoon at IKEA is as fun as I think it would be. Any suggestions?? Maybe the Science Center?
~I mentioned yesterday in my newsletter about starting a book club or a book exchange and a few people seemed into it, so I am going to set up a FB group to discuss / swap books. I am *hoping* that everyone will have a book or two ready to trade to get things started, but I know I for sure will. I still have a pile of books sitting at my house that I would love to find some new homes for!
~B and L camped out in the backyard again last night (they’ve done it a few times so far this year) and, as usual, L went crazy for it. I think I need to make sure that we do some indoor camping in the basement this winter! I know L would LOVE that I might even sleep in a tent in the basement too. My excuse for not being able to sleep outside is because WB is in the house and I need to stay with him, but I gotta figure out what I’m going to say when WB gets older.
~Because I am dumb, I don’t delete my pictures from iPhoto after I upload them on the blog. Which basically means that I have 8 zillion subscription box pictures in my iPhoto. Clearly this is no good as it’s a mess to try and find pictures I am looking for. I started to go through and delete some and oh my, this is a project!
~I haven’t dyed my hair in a while and finally got around to doing it over the weekend. Totally normal except this time I got the Garnier Nutrisse Foam instead of the normal Creme I get. And as I am shaking the bottle to mix the contents, I start to read the directions and see that it clearly says “DO NOT SHAKE” because the bottle might combust. Oops! Luckily I didn’t have any problems and my hair turned out just fine. One day I am going to get crazy and do an at home ombre or highlights. One day!
~I hear Breaking Bad was AMAZING last night and I can’t wait to watch it! I sense the kids are going to be in bed early tonight ;).
~And finally a few giveaway winners! The winners of Haribo Smurf gummies are: Hilary Bur….., Sue Sci….., Aimee Auc…, Riann and Lynn in MD! Congrats ladies!!! And the winner of the Birchbox for CEW boxes is Emily B! Congrats! I have e-mailed all of you and hope to get your prizes out today!
Ikea has a kids area at the front where you drop them off and they play while you shop.
Could you add me to your group for the book swap?
I haven’t dyed or highlighted or actually anything but getting cuts to my hair since before kids however now with the boys I’m getting those darn grey hairs so I’m going to have to start doing something soon. LOL
Yay for this being B’s last furlough day!!!
Indoor miniature golf at the mall, then the play area might be fun on a rainy day. Did the campers have to come in early because of the rain!
I delete mine IMMEDIATELY. I wish there was a way to swap profiles or something on my phone so I could just put them in another library. Also on your macbook air question, I love mine, you should get one… But I had to put my iphoto library on an external drive last weekend. Even without box pictures.
For some reason, I thought I subscribed to your newsletter already. This post made me realize I obviously don’t. Problem fixed!
I would love to take part in the book group.
My mom helped me do a blue ombr? on my hair about a week ago. She had the girls at ulta help her pick the color since we couldn’t get an appointment with her hairdresser. It was pretty easy but I’d recommend having someone help you if you’re going to do at home ombr?.
I’d be game for the book swap so let me know details when you have them!
I totally didn’t see the book club on the newsletter! I thought that I read the entire thing but obviously not. I would love to do a book club/exchange. Count me in!
Ooo! Book swap sounds fun!
I am game for a book swap! I love to read but I tend to go through phases of not wanting to read, especially during the summer:) So maybe this would get me back into the swing of things!
So what did you think of the Nutrisse foam? I’m hopeless with getting decent coverage with cremes so I switched over to the John Freida foam a couple of years ago to cover my grey and really like it. Of course, I’m always up for trying new brands if they are good, and I really like that Garnier is more natural. Thoughts on coverage, ease of use, color selection or anything else?
Cheers,
Shauna
