So What Wednesday

This week I am saying So What If….

~Even though I already know what is in my PopSugar box, I still can’t wait to get my hands on it.
~I stayed up way too late last night watching Catfish.
~Thanks to Lisa, I realized that I have the most random picture posted on twitter. I don’t even know what it is, but I can only assume the kids did it.
~It annoys me that my iPhone alerts me to all my tweets and texts twice.  Why is this?
~I still don’t know when this garage sale we are planning on having is.  Also, so what if I am making this out to be way more than it is?  I just need to throw stuff out in the driveway, stick some tags on it and call it a day.
~I’m sad that the neighbors dog isn’t pregnant like we all thought she was.
~I sometimes like to use hashtags in blog posts.  This used to annoy me.  #notanymore
~I had sunglasses on inside Kroger yesterday and didn’t even realize it.  Yes, I was that a-hole wearing sunglasses indoors.
~I think it’s time to get WB a dvd player for the car.  At least before the next trip up-north.  Maybe Elmo can help make the trip more enjoyable for him because I can’t.

That’s it from here. What are you saying so what to this week?

Jimmy and I use hashtags in real life now. He thinks they are hilarious!

We can’t decide on a DVD player or just get an iPad. We want an iPad so I’m sure that’s what we will get. We currently let Mackenzie watch Sesame Street or Mickey Mouse on my kindle for long car rides. But we can’t lock it so she ends stopping the show or clicking home. Either way, it makes the long car rides much nicer!

The in car DVD player was a lifesaver until it croaked. LOL Now we use the Ipads and they are equally as fun.

I want my POP box too. I can’t wait but mine is always so late.

In your iphone, go to the settings, then notifications, then messages, at the bottom turn the ‘Repeat Notification’ off. 🙂

what kind of dvd player do you get for the car

    😉 found it!!!!

How do I turn off repeat message alerts on iPhone?

Default settings on the iPhone with iOS 5 or iOS 6 installed are set up so that when an incoming text or MMS message arrives, the device reminds you with two alerts. This repeated alert every 2 minutes can make sure you know a message came in, or it can be really annoying as you think the iPhone is receiving multiple SMS alerts in a row.

To switch off these reminder alerts, follow these steps:

    1. Navigate to Settings -> Notifications -> Messages
    2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap Repeat Alert
    3. Select how many times you want to be reminded of each text message

Setting this to Never will ensure that your iPhone only plays the alert tone once for each message received.

You can turn off your double alerts on Notifications, Messages, Repeat Alert. My hub’s does this and it drives me bananas. 🙂

ohhh my friend and I now use hashtags in iMessage/texts that are totally ridiculous and made-up to mimick that Brandi of RHOBH book because we thought it was a totally annoying aspect of the book.

It annoyed me when my iPhone did that too, but I figured it out. If you go into settings>notifications you can go to messages and towards the bottom is “repeat alert” and you can change that to never…should be the same for twitter.

To turn off the double alert of messages:
Settings > Notifications > Messages > Repeat Alert > you can change it to never repeat the alert.
I don’t tweet but I imagine you change it the same way except instead of choosing messages you choose twitter.

Jennifer, did you end up ordering the popsugar fall mystery box? I couldn’t justify 100 bucks, but I just got an email showing the ring that is going to be in it. Ugh!! I might cave.

So many resourceful people! I was going to post how to fix the text notification issue but it looks like a bunch of readers beat me to it. 🙂
