This Month’s Stuff!

Umm, yeah. It appears I have never posted the results of July’s I’m Totally Trying It!! Ooops. Just to recap, I picked 5 things to try (or at least try to try) in July and then the plan was to report back on the results at the end of the month. Better late than never I suppose. Here’s what I tried and here are my thoughts:

~Soap & Glory Heel Genius Amazing Foot Cream: Love this! I was expecting a plain white cream, but it was blue and kind of gel like, which was fun. You don’t need to use a ton feel like it’s working and it absorbs fast!  I don’t know that it’s my new holy grail foot cream, but I would totally buy it again.

~DIY All Purpose Cleaner:  I tried to love this I really did, but I have trouble getting past the vinegar smell.  Even with the added Citrus scent, I still just smelled Vinegar.  It worked fine (not as well as bleach cleaner, but I know I shouldn’t compare the two), but the smell just isn’t for me.

~The Shark Mop:  Ahh, the Shark!  I picked one up at Target (this one) and I have never been so excited to get home and mop my floor.  For reals. I was pumped.  Sadly I didn’t love it.  I got bored mopping.  It was super easy, but took forever because I had to go over the same area a bunch of times to really feel like I was getting it clean.  I need more deep cleaning than this provides.  With the kids and the dogs I just don’t think it’s enough.  I’ll just it stick to my regular mop and floor cleaner and use this for “touch ups”.

~Revenge Wears Prada The Devil Returns:  I had heard mixed reviews about this book.  Most people agreed that it wasn’t as good as the first one.  But I’m reading it and thinking, wow, these people are wrong, this book is good!  I love it!  And then, yeah, I got to the end and I was all WTF?  No, seriously, WTF?  I actually thought my book was missing pages and I LOOKED in the jacket of the book for them.  No luck.  Good book.  Bad ending.

~DIY Canister Decals:  FAIL.  There’s always one item I don’t try or finish and this was this month’s.  I really really love these though and am going to try and do them eventually.  My problem is going to the store and buying all the various things I need to do it.  I need to just order it online.  That would pretty much guarantee that I did it!

So that’s it!  Those are the results.  Have you tried anything new lately?  What’d you think?

Is something going on with your blog? It won’t load for me on my reader (all my other blogs do).

Is the ending that bad? I hate books where there’s not a proper ending!

White vinegar is the ONLY thing that will leave my laminate wood floors from hell streak-free but man, I just can’t bring myself to use my mixture of it (I use it with water, a squirt of Dawn, and some lemon essential oil) on anything but the floors. The vinegar smell fades from the floors but using it on everything else is just way too much. I love my chemical 409 and Pinesol!!

Ahhhhh! I want to try that heel cream now! If you told me it was cooling and had a minty tingle to it, I would probably leave work right now and go to the neariest sephora and go get it! Haha! I am obsesed with tingley cooling things at the moment!

To clean our floors (all tile) we use the Shark Steamer. It works great! Our floors have never felt or looked cleaner.
