I skipped last weeks Plated review, but I’m back with this weeks meals! I did however, fail to take a picture of my entire Plated box. You’ve seen them before though. Lots of food outside of a box.
Plated ships via FedEx and arrives on Tuesdays. As long as you order by Monday at noon (EST), your box will arrive on Tuesday. The weather is cooling down here, so everything was even “chillier” in the box than normal.
I’ve gotten Plated for weeks and weeks, but this was the first time I’ve ever gotten an extra. This week, all subscribers received a box of Salem Baking Co. cookies in our Plated! I am probably more excited about this than I should be, but these kind of fun surprises make me happy!
~Lamb Kofta with Pistachios and Herb Salad: I went crazy this week and told B he could pick both of the meals. They all sounded good so I figured I didn’t have much to lose! I was, however, secretly hoping that he would pick this one. And he did! And OMG, it was so good! B and I never would just randomly decide to make a dish with lamb in it at home, but we totally should, because this was amazing. Everything was just so good.
~Korean Bo-Ssam Style Tacos: I totally knew that B would pick these. He lived in Korea when he was in the Army and always goes for Korean food when we see it. B loved these way more than I did. Don’t get me wrong, I liked them, but they had way too much heat for me. I can’t even handle medium salsa (seriously I wouldn’t mind just tomato and cilantro on my chips), so this was a lot for me!
Did you get Plated last week? What’d you think? This weeks menu includes Kale Caesar Salad, Asian Meatloaf, Chicken with Apples, Chicken Satay and Orecchiette. This menu, which gets delivered Tuesday (10/1), is only valid until 12pm (EST) tomorrow though. After that, it’s a whole new menu which will be delivered next Tuesday (10.8).
If you are interested in giving it a try or want to learn more, click here to try two free plates (new customers only). Basically you’ll get 4 plates for the price of 2 ($30)!! That’s 4 meals/plates for $30, which is less than $8/plate. Ohhh, and I should also mention that with every order you place you get to send 4 FREE plates to 3 people. I sent some to Tiffany last week- who lives in Plated’s new Nor Cal delivery area – and she loved it!!
Ugh. These would be so perfect for me during the week with school! I wish the would deliver to my area! It makes me so jealous!!!
