Tuesday’s Troubles

It’s time for another edition of Tuesday Troubles. I’ve said it before, but this should be named “things i’m annoyed / confused / want to complain about”, however I couldn’t figure out how to make any of those into a snappy title, so Tuesday Troubles it is. And yes, I do realize that these aren’t true “troubles”. I know that many of these for sure could be defined as first world problems!

~Okay, so I booked our flights for Las Vegas last week and OMG, could they charge you for anything else? My goodness. I had originally been looking into finding the cheapest flight, but I quickly realized that yeah, that doesn’t mean too much these days. They charge for EVERYTHING. Carry-on bags, checked bags, preferred seats, pick your own seats (which clearly I need since I bought anyone wants to sit next to WB), exit rows, you name it! I didn’t realize it right away, but B is still a Gold member on Delta, so luckily we avoided ALL those fees. But yeah, that cheaper duper cheap flight isn’t so super duper cheaper after all that crap is added in!

~Speaking of Vegas, we haven’t been in a few years (which is an eternity to in Vegas) and I need to know what new attractions / restaurants I should check out!  The kids are coming (L loves him some Las Vegas), but the rest of my family is too, so B and I will be able to do some grown-up stuff.  What’s been happening there these past few years????

~So you know I am obsessed with the bags from the 3.1 Phillip Lim / Target collaboration right?  For fun I decide to look on eBay and see if anyone has any listed.  Oh and check on a second Missoni throw that I still want.  OMG.  There are like 8 million bags on there, all going for at least double the original cost.  No wonder no one can find any in the stores!  They are all on eBay!  I should have realized this was what was going on, but it still drives me crazy!

~I’m so sad that this is the last season of Breaking Bad (OMG I watched Sunday night’s show – OMG).  I get so sad when my favorite tv shows end (I’m still sad Newlyweds, 30 Rock and The Hills are over).  Can’t they just continue forever and ever and ever?  I get going out on top, but still….

~So today is mine and B’s anniversary (aww) and like the good wife I am, I got him nothing.  It’s okay because I am 99.9% sure he didn’t get me anything else.  Had I been a little more on my game, I would have surprised him with a Trunk Club, but it’s a bit late for that.  What do you do to celebrate anniversaries?  Any amazing last minute ideas?  No dinner out or anything since he’s not going to be home until late tonight!

That’s it from here for now! What’s troubling you today?

Spread the love

I suck at buying presents ahead of time because I get excited and just give them to him. So, usually if I buy him something it’s that day, or I buy it online and print the picture and just say, “it’s coming!”. Haha. Happy Anniversary!

I tweeted Target Sunday morning at 9:30AM- MAJOR FAIL! I looked on eBay before I left the house and every single bag was on there. No matter how bad I want the bag I totally refuse to pay double and I hope the selfish people that bought them are stuck with them. Craziness. To top it off, my Target didn’t even get the accessories line. What the heck. I am sort of over the target collaborations at this point. I guess that’s my Tuesday Trouble.

I have NEVER been to Vegas… one day I will. It just seems SO far from NY. Atlantic City is closer but I’ve never been there either! I was just thinking, I haven’t been on a plane since May 2009! That’s a long time, isn’t it? Maybe this year we’ll go to Florida, but I bet we’ll drive.
I am also sad 30 Rock is over. I have only watched episode 1 of season 5 of breaking bad… I was so confused as to why it’s on again, but I read on wikipedia it was split into two parts each 8 episodes. I need to catch up! I should have done that before all the new show start this week!
For anniversaries – we don’t celebrate it at all, because we never made an offical day we started dating… once we’re married (and that could be years and years away) we probably will celebrate it? Maybe go to dinner?

Happy Anniversary to you and B!!!

Have you heard of the subscription box ‘bunnys furr and feather friends’? They offer boxes for dogs and cats as well as birds and pocket pets such as guinea pigs. I just ordered a box for my guinea pig last night I’m excited there’s a box for her!

    Happy Anniversary!!

I”m soooo jealous that you guys are going to Vegas!! I love Vegas and haven’t been there for a couple of years now. But def check out Kokomo’s at the Mirage…great seafood esp the Alaskan king crabs and the Chilean Sea Bass. The Rainforest Cafe will be good for the kiddos, I think they’re at the MGM. Foods not bad either. The Eiffel Tower rest up in the Paris is a must to check out also and the Bellagio brunch buffet on the weekends and the Mandalay Bay buffet. Pricey but worth it. Stay away from Tao at the Venetian, bad food and I got food poisoning =( We hit a few Cirque Du Soliel shows that were cool; Ka, Zumanity and fell asleep at O =) Zumanity is more for a mature audience so no kiddos. I don’t know if Chriss Angels Believe show is still there but don’t go and don’t waste your $, gamble it away =))) so not worth it! Blue Man is def a must!! If you’ve never seen it, GO!!, if you did, go again!! We also been to a few interactive shows where you kinda join the cast and play along which was fun and dinner is included. Don’t know if they’re still around but you can always find out. We did Tony and Tina’s Wedding, where you’re the “guest” at their wedding, super funny but food was ok. Then we did a murder mystery thingy I forgot what it was called but it was far from the strip, that was fun and food was good! We also went to a shooting range for my bday and literally had a blast but maybe next time w/o the kiddos loll…anyways I think I bombarded you enough loll..like I said, I love Vegas!! Anyways, have fun and win big and let me know if you have more questions!

The last episode of Breaking Bad was so good. (maybe my favorite yet). I’m going to be extremely sad in 2 weeks when it’s over ):

I haven’t gone to Target and looked at the collection yet. 🙁 Guess no point now since obviously everything is gone. LOL I hate when people over inflate stuff like that it just bugs me too.

I did Vegas in March with a girlfriend but it was for a convention so we didn’t do a ton of site seeing. We walked the strip a little bit but that was it.

I hate shows ending too especially the ones that have bad endings. I really want some kind of end and thankfully lately networks have let the shows have a final season so they can wrap things up but when they just get cancelled it sucks.

As for food, they just opened a Nobu in Caesar’s Palace. I also highly recommend Stk in the Cosmopolitan.

As for attractions, the Venetian is having an exhibit for the 50 greatest photos from National Geographic. It is pretty neat to read the background on all those iconic shots.

You will also notice a big change in the skyline since they are building a huge ferris wheel. It isn’t done yet, but it is pretty neat.

I live about 4 hours (for now) from Las Vegas so I get out there at least 2-3 times a year. I’m usually all about the R&R while I’m out there. I’m either walking around the strip or sitting by the pool. If you like Mexican food you should check out Border Grill in Mandalay Bay. The food is insanely good!

  11. Pilar

Hey guess what? Breaking Bad is going to have a spin show! I’am looking forward to that!

Me and my husband went to Vegas in January and so much had changed! We ate at Sugar Factory in Paris LV lot (at least once a day) The food was pretty good bit the drinks were amazing. Its also supposed to be a huge celebrity hotspot too. You also have to head to serendipity and get a frozen hot chocolate. We used the Opentable app and didnt ever have to wait at any of the restaurants. Hope you have fun! Im jealous!

How about a massage? You can surprised him with a home cook meal, then a good movie with the kids and once the kids go to be give me some extra loving time…a massage never hurt anyone…or maybe a sexy dance 🙂

    Just saying…. 🙂

  14. Jackie

Happy Anniversary! I am not married nor in a relationship at the moment so I can’t give you any insight there haha

  15. Mrs. L

So bummed about the Phillip Lim stuff. Because we were away this weekend (magical weekend but still) I wasn’t able to get to Target until today and of course all bags are completely gone. All. Not even a tiny little one left. There were some of the clothes but nothing that worked for me. Sigh. Bummed. On the good side though, Target is FINALLY putting up Halloween stuff (but they say it will take all week to get everything out…really??? You killing me Smalls!).

  16. Lorns

It really bugs me when people buy loads of lomited edition bags etc and then sells them on eBay, it’s just shady and unfair imo. Love your black and yellow ones though, super cute. We either need a Target over here or one of our big chains needs to do limited collections with Missioni et al

  17. sara

I looked online for those target bags and NO target within 60 miles of me has the bags.
We don’t do much for anniversary’s. ….maybe a special dinner, which last year was pizza. :o)

Happy Anniversary first of all !
When’s the last time you went to Vegas ?
I highly recommend Blue Man Group. You can take L to see them and I bet he’ll love them but I’m afraid WB is too young to go the show (I believe 5 is the min age)

Food wise, I always go to buffet when we go to Vegas.
In February, we hit up Bachannal @ Caesars (it was new and looks good) but we usually go the Wynn buffet. It might be quiet expensive but it’s really good.

Hash House A Go Go – crazy breakfast food place. big portions. so good though. Snickers pancake yummm

If you and hubby feel like celebrating, maybe try L’atelier Joel Robuchon. Do their tasting menu. It’s pricey (it runs about 160/person for 10 course meal) but it was certainly one of the best meal of my life.

  19. Jordan M

Diablo’s Cantina has amazing mexican food! Its right on the strip in front of the Monte Carlo. You could always take the kiddos to the aquarium in Mandalay Bay.

  20. Julie B

I got the cross body and let me tell you I could have bought ALL the bags because I was the 2nd one in target. But I’m not a jerk. If the fashionistas want, they should get. I think it’s terrible what people do with these collections.

  21. Amy Huckaby

Oh, something else that would be cool for the kiddos is the dolphin and tiger habitat at The Mirage. We went there and had a really good time watching the dolphin shows. We were there for at least a couple hours. So cool!
