~This weekend flew by! Luckily it’s not technically over yet (B is off today), so that’s good, but it’s been a little wild around here. Like I mentioned last night, B ran his marathon yesterday and to say he’s sore would be an understatement. He’s beat. L and I have nasty colds. It’s a mess around here!

B runs. L gets the medal.

~No mail today ;(, but this week is going to be a subscription box bonanza!!!  I am expecting Birchbox, ipsy, Googaro, Kiwi Crate, Love with Food, Citrus Lane, Bestowed, Petit Vour and probably a Fancy Box.   And those are just the ones I am am sure of!  I know I have some boxes coming to review too.  I love it!!!

~After L got home from up-north yesterday we got to work on our “Boo’ing” and had such a good time “shopping” in the basement for goodies to include.  People always ask what I do with ALL the stuff I buy at Target for 90% off.  This is it!  And then when B got home from his race, L and I set off to drop off our buckets of goodies.  It’s hard to properly sneak around in the daylight, but we had a good time with it ;).  Let the boo’ing begin!

~This is so insane, but I was a little sad to hear that Lauren Conrad got engaged over the weekend.  I had always help out hope that she’d get back with Stephen (from Laguna Beach) or Brody!  Umm, guess that’s not happening!

~I couldn’t be more excited.  I think I mentioned it a few weeks (months?) ago, but our “Fox” channel wasn’t working so if I wanted to watch something on Fox, I needed to wait for it to appear on Apple TV or Hulu.  Not anymore!  B went up in the attic (that’s where the HD antenna is) over the weekend and it’s all fixed!  Now I can watch the Tigers in the post-season and football on Sundays.  Although I shouldn’t have watched last night.  That was no good.

~While on the hunt for perfect baskets / buckets to boo with, the boys and I went to Walmart, yes, Walmart, yesterday.  As we were roaming around, L goes “what, do people just throw stuff on the floor here”?  Umm, yes, yes they do!  But in all fairness to Walmart, they do have a crane game and they had individual silicone pumpkin cupcake molds, so we can just drive our cart over that stuff.

Nothing to do with Walmart, but WB wanted to be in this post.

~That’s about it from here this morning.  What’s going on for you this week?

I’m so not a Walmart girl but for what you were looking for it was probably a good spot. Do they do the commercials there that say take your receipt in from another store and see how much you save? Well I have no idea what those people are buying since most of the things I’ve looked at aren’t cheaper unless you are buying store brands and I don’t most of the time plus their produce does not last like my good stuff does. Can you tell it bugs me. LOL There was also an article here that had a comparison with Target and there was only one out of like five scenarios that Walmart was cheaper and I think that was all store brands. Crazy just crazy.

Hope you all get some rest today and feel better. Love the ‘booing!’ The baskets you put together are cute!
I don’t care for Walmart, but we have a new/95% grocery one no more than 5 minutes away that I like. Probably because it’s brand new, never crowded, and well more like a grocery not super store.

Oh my gosh L’s Walmart comment cracked me up! Do you guys have Kohls out there? No matter what Kohls I go to the toy section is always DESTROYED with toys completely covering the aisles! Our Walmarts are hit and miss. There are nice(r) ones and not-as-nice ones. When my husband and I first moved in together and were broker than broke we started shopping at Walmart, but luckily the one near where we lived was really nice. Now we can afford Target again, hahaha. Thank god because I was born and raised in Target. My dad used to take me shopping there with him when I was a tiny baby because I was such a “chick magnet”- he’s sort of weird. 😉

I can’t stand Walmart or KMart. They are way too messy for me and I always seem to go because of some great sale and can never find the item I went in for. This week, I have Birchbox, my Birchbox order, and maybe Citrus Lane and Babbabox coming. It’s crazy – they are all starting to get jammed into one week.
