October Wantable
October Wantable

I hadn’t received a Wantable box in a while and I was missing them, so I went ahead and ordered one earlier in the week.  The October Wantable boxes I’d been seeing looks great and I wanted in on that action!

October Wantable
The Box

Wantable ships via USPS First Class and only took a few days to get to me.  They are in Wisconsin and I am in Michigan, so that likely has a lot to do with the speed of my deliveries from them.

First Look

I always know I am going to like my Wantable boxes and I guess even if I don’t it’s not a huge deal since I can always return them.  But I super happy when I opened up my box to find all these goodies!

October Wantable
The Information Sheet / Preference

Wantable has the most thorough questionnaire of any box out there.  You tell them what products you “Love”, “Like” and “Dislike” and they will send you more of your “Love” items than your “Like” items, but they will never send you any of your “Dislike” items.  You also give color preferences, etc. in your profile.  I included mine above (it’s on the top right hand of the information card) in case anyone was wondering what I picked this month (you can update your profile as needed).

As you can tell, the information card is a printed piece of paper and not heavy card stock or anything because each box is totally customized to you.  I wonder how they select what items you will get?  Is it a computer system?  A person hand selecting? I want to know!

~Darla Makeup Peepers Eyeshadow (Baby Doll) ($18): I have never heard of this brand before, but the packaging won me over before I even opened it to see what was inside.  It’s a perfect color for me and I couldn’t be happier.

~Lise Watier Feline Mascara (Black) ($23): Umm, is this not the coolest tube of mascara you’ve ever seen?  It went on great and will for sure be something I keep in my bag (purse) and not in a drawer because it’s too pretty to be hidden away.

~Lise Watier Light Cap Nail Lacquer (Sapphire) ($13): You know I was thrilled to see nail polish in the box!  Do I need more nail polish?  Not a chance.  Do I want more nail polish?  Of course I do. This color is beyond gorgeous and will be perfect for the holidays.  Love. Love. Love.

~FACE Stockholm Nail Polish #128 ($12): I feel like FACE Stockholm is such a fancy brand (no idea if this is really the case) and and it feels like such a treat to get it in Wantable.  This color is a little darker than my picture shows and it more red than orange.  And of course, I love this one too.

~Three Custom Color Simply Beautiful Cheek Tint ($22): I originally thought I had received this in a prior Wantable box, but I when I went back and searched I couldn’t find it, so I guess not.  I still think I am going to save this as part of a little holiday gift for a friend.  I really need to start organizing what I have been putting away for gifts so I can get an idea of where I am at ;).

~Skiin Instant Skin Tightener & Line Filler (Sample): I’ve never tried (or heard of), this brand, but I’m game to give it a go.

All totaled I came up with a value of $89 for my October Wantable Makeup Box, which is well over twice the cost of the box (I did a one time $40 box, but monthly subscriptions start at $36/month).  Wantable always makes great picks for me and like I said, although you can send your box back for a refund I’ve never even considered it!!

Do you subscribe to Wantable?  If so, what’d you get in your box (makeup or accessories or intimates) this month? If not, what are you waiting for?  Click here to subscribe or learn more.

This box looks fun. I love the polish colors. I played around with my options this month right after last months so not sure what I’ll be getting. I just pulled out a blush whose name was the big ‘O’ I keep telling Michael that I’m expecting a good day 😉

    1. Jennifer

Ha!!! When are you expecting your box?

      1. Jenny

Should be next week. It ships around the 21st. I like getting it then since I don’t have any others that week 🙂

Ohh, great box! I’ve been debating signing up for Wantable now for a few months. I get jealous of other’s boxes far too much!!

    1. Jennifer

You should try then!! If you don’t like, you can always return for a refund!

I so want this subscription box! Do you prefer the makeup or the accessory box? Also, did you find that their very involved quiz did a good job in making sure you got what you wanted? (I want to put this on my Christmas list, 😉 )

    1. Jennifer

I have never tried the accessory box. I did find that the quiz worked. I only got products and colors I liked!

I love wantable – I think it’s my favorite subscription.
That Mascara IS the cutest I’ve ever seen. And that’s the first time I’ve seen the Darla brand in their boxes. Great October box!

    1. Jennifer

I thought it was a great one too! Did you get an October box?

I got that mascara and I DID really like it… But I tried it 3 or 4 times and each time it smears under my eyes so I look horrifying by the end of the day. If I could get it to last a little lo get and not do that I’d love it. I have since tried Benefit They’re real and that’s the one I will be sticking with.

    1. Jennifer

I do like Benefit too. I have a horrible habit of rubbing my eyes with mascara on. So bad.

I an attest to the fabulousness of they’re real! I have crazy sensitive eyes, but pretty much only wear mascara and lip gloss so I need a good one. they’re real! stays put, doesn’t flake, doesn’t irritate my eyes and is easy to wash off. Plus, I regularly get asked if I wear fake lashes because they’re real! makes my lashes look so long and full. That stuff is magic!!

      Cheers,
      Shauna

      It was a good month!

  6. Berit

I received my cheek tint a few months ago and love it! At first glance I didn’t think it looked too good, but it has a nice subtle warm tint. Love it! You may need to try it 🙂

    1. Jennifer

      I may have too!

I hear you on the gift sorting. I’m giving some of my not for me items as gifts for some friends daughters as “holiday” gifts. One thing I’ve started doing to sort them is tour labels on my old sub boxes and sort the items into them. Since I know you have plenty of boxes lying around, this might work for you also. It’s really worked well, and when I’m done, I can just wrap the box. Easy peasy!

    Cheers,
    Shauna

That’s an excellent idea!!!! Thank you for sharing!

Signed up after reading reviews on your site. I must say, my first box was just OK. I think is was an October box (as it delivered in October, super fast). I received a darla peepers eye shadow, rainbow honey nail polish and lose satire taj mahal powder…so 3 items. I’m very much looking forward to future boxes. The whole subscription box concept is alluring given that I work more than full time and have NO clue what’s hot these days.

    1. Jennifer

Don’t forget that if you aren’t in love, you can return for a refund!

I don’t know where else to post this review. You suggested I try want able and I signed up for both the makeup and intimates boxes. My first makeup box was just OK. I’ll be regifting some of the items…but, my intimates box was AMAZING!! You need to review them. I got bestsey Johnson sleep shorts ($29), a cute racer back tank ($15-20), muk luk tights ($21) and a brass bandeau ($18). $83-88 value for $39 and I adore it all. So first, thanks for the KILLER recommendation and second…way to go wantables! I will be giving wan tables subscriptions for Christmas to my three 16 year old nieces and my one 15 year old niece. They will be so jazzed.

    1. Jennifer

I think I am going to try an Intimates box yet! I have heard only good things about it!
