I got an e-mail from Wantable the other day saying that they were sending me a November make-up box to review and I was instantly excited. I bought a box last month and loved what they had picked for me. Wantable is a bit different than most other subscription boxes in that you can return the items if you aren’t totally 100% happy. You just go into your account, go to your order history and click “Return Items” and you’ll get a prepaid label and a full refund. I love that!
Wantable ships via USPS First Class and only took a few days to get to me. I knew it was coming, but I hadn’t been tracking it.
I wasn’t totally thrilled by the first look. I think it’s because my October box was so fabulous? I shouldn’t really compare because that’s not totally fair. That box was just so great for me it would be hard to replicate!
Wantable has the most thorough questionnaire of any box out there. You tell them what products you “Love”, “Like” and “Dislike” and they will send you more of your “Love” items than your “Like” items, but they will never send you any of your “Dislike” items. You also give color preferences, etc. in your profile. I didn’t update my survey for November and it looks like they added a new category “Complexion Products”. It ended up in my Dislike since I didn’t take the survey, but I need to go in and change that because I would love to try some.
Wantable doesn’t include a fancy information card on heavy card stock because every box is customized. The Wantable November box, which was a collaboration with Jackie Aina, includes lots of new brands including smooth eyeshadows and cream blushes from Girlactik, a 6-in-1 beauty compact from Mistura, True Color Lip Creams from Beauty for Real, DEX New York lipsticks and glosses and Starlooks products to make your eyes sparkle. Here is what I received:
~Brazen Cosmetics Loose Blush (Amorous) ($17.99): I love this color because it’s kind of glowy and you can apply as much or as little as you like. I just out on a little to try it which I think works best for me. And I still love the little Brazen wax seal they include on all of their stuff.
~Girlactik Beauty Heaven’s Dust Angel Gold ($19): Ohh, this is fun! I have never seen or heard of this brand before, but this product is super fun. It’s a fine powder that can be dusted on your skin to get that magical holiday glow. Love this!
~Skiin Soothing & Smoothing Eye Cream Sample: I used this sample yesterday and do think that it helped a little with the puffiness. I was also super tired yesterday, so the puffiness was extra noticeable as well. I would try this again for sure.
~Lise Watier Duo Shadow and Glitter Smokey Silver ($26): Now this is fun! It’s a creme shadow and a glitter powder shadow all housed in the same gorgeous container. This is awesome for the holidays and every time I get something from Lise Watier I am struck by the beauty of the packaging.
All totaled by November Wantable box had a value of $62.99, which is well over the $36/month (or $40/month one time only purchase) price tag. However , I was disappointed that I only received three items. They used to send 4-5 full sized items monthly (I got 5 last month) and now it’s 3-4 full sized items. I did really enjoy the products I received, but I think a nail polish or a lip gloss would have rounded out this box perfectly. Still I probably would not have returned the box had I purchased it on my own since I did enjoy the products I received. ETA (11.4.13). Wantable has announced they will revert to sending 4-5 products as they had in the past and will no longer be including 3-4 items.

Wantable has also just launched a Holiday Box, which includes: Bella Beauty Small Metallic Cosmetic Bag, Bella Beauty Rollerball Eyeshadow Set, 29 Cosmetics Dew Lip Gloss, Color Club Nail Polish, Spa Sister Silk Sleep Mask and Wantable Exclusive Earrings. The Holiday boxes come in three different color palettes so you can pick which one is before for you.
Did you receive a Wantable box this month? What’d you think and what did you received in it?
