October Jennifer Love Hewitt Fancy Box

My much awaited October Jennifer Love Hewitt Fancy Box arrived today. I think the JLH Fancy Boxes are my favorite of all the boxes Fancy offers and I always look forward to seeing what the selections are. If you aren’t familiar, the Fancy has a “regular” Fancy Box full of cool goodies or celebrity curated boxes which include a collection of the coolest products hand-picked by Jennifer Love Hewitt, Verbal, Ashton Kutcher, Kelly Rowland, Coco Rocha, Tyler Florence or Pink. They also offer a Fancy Food Box.

The Box

Fancy Box ships via FedEx and usually takes two days to arrive. I think this shipped on a Friday and arrived today – Tuesday.  The weekend seems to throw them off a little.

First Look

I hadn’t seen any spoilers for the October JLH Box yet and WB and I couldn’t wait to rip into it when we saw it on the porch.  I couldn’t figure out what was going on from the first look, but I knew I wanted to see more.

The Information Cards

The information cards didn’t have the little notes on the back this month. Usually there will be a little picture of the celebrity whose box this is and a little note about why they picked the items and why they like them, but these just had general product notes ;(.  I had to double check to make sure it was actually the JLH Fancy Box because I wasn’t quite sure (it was).

~Pop Chomp Spatula ($12): I already have these in every color (I have an insane spatula collection – it’s so weird but I collect them) and I *think* I received one of these from Fancy in a previous box.  Yep, I did in the June Fancy Food Box.  I am going to e-mail Fancy.  In the past when I have received duplicate items they have issued me a Fancy gift card in the amount of the duplicate item which is fine by me.

~One Sweet Cookie by Tracy Zabar ($30):  This is a collection of cookie recipes from some of the best restaurants in New York and I can’t wait to make some for the holidays.  I don’t cook, but I am totally into baking and this is perfect!

~Step up to the Plate Teabag Rest ($10):  I like this better than an actual container of tea and think that this is going to be a PERFECT gift for my cousin with her next box of tea that I save for her from my subscription boxes.

~Archipelago Botanicals Soy Milk Creme ($18):  I totally love this.  I put it on right away and knew right away I loved this box.  It’s thick but it spreads on nicely and smells fabulous.  Between this and the cookbook, my box is made.  The rest of the stuff is just a bonus.

~French Macaroon Trinket Box ($14): I couldn’t figure out what in the world was in this box.  I thought candy at first but it was really heavy.  I opened it and was excited that it was a cute little macaroon trinket box!  I would have preferred one of the other colors, but I will totally use this!

All totaled, the October Jennifer Love Hewitt Fancy Box had a value of $84, which as always, is far beyond the cost of the box itself (Fancy Boxes are $39 + $7.95 shipping). Like always I am loving the JLH Fancy Box and even got a few gifts out of this one which is awesome.
