I’ve been feeling kinda silly “linking-up” with this kind of love for What I’m Loving Wednesday because she hasn’t posted in months ;(. I do love the post though, so I decided to make my own button for it and if she comes back I’ll ditch it and link back up with her and if she doesn’t, I’ll continue to use it and maybe even make it a link-up of my own.

McDonalds Happy Meal Books
McDonalds Happy Meal Books

McDonalds Happy Meal Books. I just learned about these yesterday when someone commented here about them. And then not ten minutes later did my mom mention them as well. So of course we had to go check them out. Totally adorable!! There are four of them so hopefully one more trip Happy Meal run does the trick.

Flippeez Hat

Flippeez. Not only did L have the day off school yesterday which he got to spend at the movies seeing “Free Bird” with his Nana, he also got a Flipeez! He has been wanting one forever (no idea where he has seen this since we do not have cable and they don’t advertise this on PBS) and yesterday was the day. And I have to admit, it’s cute. He got a ton of compliments on it already.  Oh and in case you are wondering, it really does work.  You squeeze the tassel and the ears pop up.

These Middle School Football Players.  I came across this in my Facebook feed yesterday and I can’t stop thinking about it.  I can’t even imagine how proud these boys’ parents must be about this and the fact that they thought of this all on their own?  Amazing.  These are some darn good kids right here.

Little Fun Finds. In my Target clearance shopping I happened to stumble into both Cadbury Holiday Chocolates (just like their mini eggs, but they are round) and an initial mug!  I swear I get a new initial mug from Target every year, but this is my most favorite one yet.  I also spied what is bound to be this year’s new gold polka dot pjs.  I should actually do a giveaway of my favorite Target items.  That would be a fun one (for me).

Liz Earle
Liz Earle

Liz Earle.  I received this line to test out from Birchbox a few weeks ago and I don’t know what’s more fabulous?  The fact that it works so well or that it doesn’t cost $100/bottle!  I didn’t mention it right away because I wanted to give it a few weeks to really “work” and it is!  My skin feels great and I think it looks better.  My only issue is that I am not totally sure how to store the cloth.  Suggestions?

My Boys
My Boys

The Little Boys.  The boys and I decided to have dinner at Panera last night and they were so good.  I can count on one hand how many times just the little boys and I have eaten out alone (B was at school last night), but they were both so good.  Shockingly, WB did not even throw one thing on the floor.  I was amazed.

Striped Accent Wall.  I wonder what B would think about this?  Every time I see something along these lines I can’t help but pause and think about it somewhere in my house – probably in my bedroom.  We’ve had the same color walls since we moved in (I call it “builder brown”).  Maybe a white strip would be fun?

That’s it from here.  What are you loving this week?

    1. Jennifer

OMG I know right? It’s a good time to be a Spartan!

    OMG Jen,

The football story was so good.
I went from “oh, that’s so sweet” to bwahhhah bawling. The kid at the end just being sentimental and sweet just pushed me over the edge. Good story. I never heard of it, so you broke the news for me…

    1. Jennifer

Ugh. I know. That kind at the end with tears rolling down his cheeks? Too sweet.

I’ve never teared up when reading about a football game…. until now. Guess there’s a first for everything — That story was heartwarming!

Also, I’ve always thought about a striped accent wall, but never could get myself to commit because I can barely highlight in a completely straight line, I don’t know how I’d do with a whole wall of stripes, LOL.

PS: Tis the season for Holiday Candy!

Yeah, I am not sure how exactly it would get painted. I am sure it wouldn’t be me doing it though. I would make a mess.

  4. Today I am loving my laptop and this blogging world. I am just a newbie and I feel like I am all over the place trying to get peeps to follow my blog.

I am also loving this time watching “The Voice” with my daughter.

I am loving that in two days I will have a LONG weekend off work 🙂

    1. Jennifer

      Enjoy your weekend!!!

Even though I no longer live in MI, I’ll always consider MI my home and that story was heartwarming and I’m a sobbing mess! Having a middle schooler I know how ruthless and cruel kids can be. The boy crying at the end did me in…

I’m loving my kids don’t have school the next 2 days and I do not have to set an alarm!!

I think I was most impressed that it was middleschoolers!!

Just sent myself the link to that video so that I can share it at work in the morning. There was a similar story about some high school basketball team players awhile back. I love these stories so much!

I do too. Such great kids!

  7. Enrica

    Seriously LOVE the bedding!

I vote a huge YES for a Target Must Have List! I never win giveaways so a list would be just fine for me 🙂

    1. Jennifer

Everyone says they never win! If you enter enough giveaways you are bound to win!

  9. Olivia

I am completely on the Liz Earle team. I also received it in my Birchbox and fell in love with it as soon as I used it that night. A few weeks later? I’ve ordered more and use it morning and night. Absolutely wonderful product.

    1. Jennifer

      I was totally impressed!

I could tell that photo was taken at Panera Bread before I read it, I guess they all have similar decor. That and I go there way too frequently 🙂 It is a fairly good place for little kids though.

Their chicken and wild rice soup is my all time favorite soup. So good!

You just made my day (night)! 🙂 … I love those eggs! And, I never got a hold of the dot pjs last year so I’m super happy they came out with them again!!

    1. Jennifer

They aren’t exactly the same, but close. They are gold and black swirls. I think I took a picture. I will e-mail you!

  12. Ashley C.

Oh man! I know what I’m doing tomorrow! Are the books in the Happy Meals a very limited thing, or are they going to be around a little while? My kids will love them!

Cadbury Eggs/Holiday balls are my favorite. I seriously go through so many bags in one season! I should invest in their stock! 🙂

    1. Jennifer

I don’t know? I think there are 4 books total? I would guess they’ll be here a few weeks?

  13. Ashley

I got that mug as well! Mine is the grey chevron with dark blue and an A in the middle, I liked the design type on yours more though!

    1. Jennifer

I am cracking up! I like the design on yours more. I was standing there looking at the mugs and was like man, I wish my name started with an “A”!

  14. April K

Tears. What a great video, what an awesome team, what wonderful kids.

    1. Jennifer

      Such great kids!

  15. Berit

Oh, that video was a tearjerker! So nice to see.

I’m a Liz Earle fan too. I’ve been using the products for about a year. Since the cloth should be washed after two uses–I usually just hang mine in the shower. I have received lots of samples from them and they always send the cloths, so I have plenty to rotate. I highly recommend the Superskin Concentrate Oil. It’s not cheap, but it’s a miracle in a bottle. I have oily/combo skin, but this stuff keeps my face clear!

    1. Jennifer

      I will check it out!!!
