Bestowed, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly subscription box that offers 5+ amazing nutrition and lifestyle products delivered to your door every month – each one hand picked by celebrity nutritionist and author Heather Bauer. It’s $19 $20/month and delivers around the 15th of the month.
Bestowed ships via USPS Priority Mail and it arrived in the promised two days. I actually got this yesterday, but I saw my mailman bright and early today – at like8am and he said they were swamped. I can’t even imagine!
I didn’t recognize much from the first look, which was good! I like trying new stuff, especially in food boxes like this. Lots of the times it’s stuff I’d never buy at the store, but turn out liking.
Bestowed has an information booklet with recipes and product information, as well as, information on where you can buy the items from the box. Here is what was included in the box:
~I Heart Keenwah Ginger Peanut Clusters: Ohh, these are good! I would actually eat these as a mid-afternoon snack. They wouldn’t be the first thing I’d grab, but these and a piece of dark chocolate would be pretty good.
~KIND Snacks Dark Chocolate Chili Almond Bars: I’ve had this flavor before and it’s probably the best of the KIND bar flavors I have tried. It’s not super spicy, it’s just enough spicy!
~Pacific Natural Foods Simply Stock: We never seem to have this when we need it, so this is great item. Not an instant gratification thing since I couldn’t exactly open it up and taste it, but it’s totally practical.
~Saffron Road Food Thai Red Curry Simmer Sauce: This is totally a B item and I am going to let him figure out a meal for it. The booklet suggests preparing a stew however you like an adding this simmer sauce in. It also says that it will save you from any dinner disaster! The box also contained two $1 off coupons on ay Saffron Road product.
~Simply Organic Mediterranean Herb Green Yogurt Dip: I cannot wait to try this. I so badly wanted to make it last night, but I realized, umm, yeah, what would I do with a bunch of dip? Not too much I am sure. I am going to make this for Christmas Eve though as a dip for veggies.
~Snikiddy Baked Cheddar Cheese Fries: I love these! They remind me a little of those snack stick things I had when I was a kid. I need to find these at a store around here. Th card says they sell them at Kroger, but I don’t know that I have ever seen them there. I need to go on a search.
I didn’t do a cost breakdown for Bestowed, but the box itself is for sure worth the $19. And right now (thru 12/31), you can save nearly 50% off your first box using the coupon code “HELLOYUM40“, which would make the box only $10!
If you are interested in ordering Bestowed, or just want to learn more, click here. They also have an online shop containing most of the items from this month’s box, so make sure to check that out as well!
We throw the Thai simmer sauce in the crockpot with some chicken and it’s really good.
This sounds like something I can handle!
