My highly anticipated second Stitch Fix arrived today! I was so excited to find it sitting on the table when I got home today. I mentioned it early in the week, but I had peeked at what was coming and was SO excited about this time. If you’ll recall, I got my first Stitch Fix in November (you can check out that review here), but wasn’t thrilled with any of the pieces, so I sent them all back.
If you aren’t familiar, Stitch Fix is a personal styling service for women. You provide your style, size, and budget preferences, and they will send you a package of stylish goodies to try on at home. There is a $20 styling fee that is applied to your order should you decide to keep any / all of the pieces. And if you keep all of the pieces, you get a 25% discount on everything!
My last Stitch Fix shipped via USPS Priority Mail, but this one shipped via FedEx. Not sure what their normal shipping method is, but both are fast and both times they arrived a day before I was expecting them, so either way is fine.
The first look? THRILLED! Ahh! I had read about all the items online, but it’s not the same as seeing them in person.
Stitch Fix sends an “invoice” of sorts which includes a listing of everything you received in your box, the total for all the items and then goes on to list what all the items would cost after your $20 credit for your Styling Fee plus your 25% discount would be. My Fix would cost $210 if I end up keeping everything. Here’s what was included:
~Kensie Adrian Short Sleeve Floral Blouse ($68): This was the shirt I was least excited about, but it’s growing on me. It’s a stretchy material and has the floral print on the front and is solid black on the back. I can (now) totally see myself wearing these with leggings and a cardigan. I probably wouldn’t do any of Stitch Fix’s looks, but I like looking at the ideas.
~Kut From the Cloth Paige Skinny Jean ($78): I love these stretchy jeans! It’s like wearing jeans but feeling like you are wearing stretch pants. Not a bad deal at all. I total love the look on the left in the style cards and it’s something I never would have put together myself.
~Olive & Oak Sweeny Chevron Knit Crew Neck Sweater ($68): I wrote in my Notes to my Stylist (who was Jasmine) that I liked a chevron scarf that had previously been featured and while she said she couldn’t locate it, she was able to find me a chevron sweater! Totally cozy and cute and you know I am keeping this!
~Staccato Natalia Stripe Draped Front Cardigan ($58): This is SO me. I believe I also wrote in my notes (I meant to make a Pinterest board but never got around to it), that I liked open front cardigans so this was great. They paired it with a pop of color, but I’d totally just wear black. Wait, *maybe* red. It is the holiday season after all.
~Rikka Henry Birds on Branch Infinity Scarf ($28): Is it even a question if I like this or not? I LOVE it. Like I love it. I knew what it was, but I had no clue it was going to be ORANGE and grey! Yay!!! Love. Love. Love. And only $28? I feel like I got the bargain of the month.
I am SO glad I gave Stitch Fix another chance and I am actually thinking I am going to keep my ENTIRE Fix! Eeek! I would lose my $70 discount if I didn’t keep it all, so it just makes sense to keep it all since I pretty much love it all anyway! And I am already plotting my next fix. I didn’t think that anything was crazy overpriced or anything either, which I appreciated. 5 items for $210? That’s not bad AT ALL!
