November Jennifer Love Hewitt Fancy Box

I have been waiting for my November Jennifer Love Hewitt Fancy Box to appear and was so excited when I got the shipping e-mail earlier in the week!  It’s probably my favorite of the Fancy Boxes and I love getting it.

If you aren’t familiar, the Fancy has a “regular” Fancy Box full of cool goodies or celebrity curated boxes which include a collection of the coolest products hand-picked by Jennifer Love Hewitt, Verbal, Ashton Kutcher, Kelly Rowland, Coco Rocha, Tyler Florence or Pink (not sure if this is still an option since you cannot subscribe to it on their site anymore). They also offer a Fancy Food Box.

The Box

Fancy Box ships via FedEx and usually takes two days to arrive.  This one shipped on Wednesday and arrived yesterday (Friday), so it was right on track.

First Look

I peeked at spoilers on Instagram the other night (I know, I know, so bad), so I knew what to expect.  Fancy Box always ships in the same boxes no matter how small the items in the box may be.  On the same note, you will never receive anything bigger than a Fancy Box in your box.

The Information Cards

I don’t know that JLH actually picked this box this month (she just had a baby like last week didn’t she), but I’m going to pretend that she does.  The information cards didn’t have her picture on them like they used to or anything, but Fancy still does have great cards.   The only thing that could have made it better would be if it had prices.  Here is what the box received:

~Passport Mighty Wallet by Dynomighty ($15): Loot Crate just sent the Batman version of this last month.  It’s totally cute and fun, but I’m not sure what I will do with it?  Probably trade it?

~Paddywax ‘Rome’ Candle ($16): You can’t go wrong with a candle can you?  I think not.  Once the holidays wind down and I am all done with my holiday candles, I am going to have to swap them out with candles like this.  It smells really good.  Also, I realized that Paddywax has adorable little candle tins.  If I need more candles I would certainly get these.

~Travel Manager by Zero Per Zero ($25): At first I thought this was a subway map which I thought was dumb (wouldn’t I just use my phone?), but I quickly realized that it was a a travel wallet. It’s got room for money, passports, tickets, etc.  I may actually use this on our next trip as a dedicated travel wallet.  Passports, airport parking ticket, hotel keys, etc.  All that stuff gets lost fast in my big bag and it’s annoying having to dig for it.

~The New York Times 36 Hours: West Coast ($15):  This book includes the 36-hour best trips on the West Coast of Canada and the US.  It may be a little handier if I actually lived on the west coast and could easily skip away to one of these places for 36 hours.  But I love the concept of 36 hours in a city and I will flip through it for some ideas before passing this along to a friend.

All totaled I came up with a value of $70 for the November Jennifer Love Hewitt Fancy Box. I’m just kind of meh about it. I don’t hate it, but I certainly don’t love it like I have loved some of (most of) her previous boxes. I do love that she does “themes” though. This was obviously travel, last month was baking / milk & sweets, before that was booze, etc.

Did you get the November JLH Fancy Box?  What’d you think? If you are thinking of ordering this or ANY of the Fancy Boxes, click here and get on it! You can always use the coupon code “FOLLOWUP10″ to save 10% on any Fancy.com, order, including subscription boxes. I’m sorry to say it, but the amazing codes of 30% off + free shipping from Black Friday are gone ;(.  If you can’t find the Fancy Box you are looking for, I suggest just doing search for “Fancy Box“. It’s much easier than trying to navigate their site.
