I’ll still do Thursday Thoughts, so there is just so munch to talk about this week I thought I’d do a Tuesday version too!
~First of all, I see that everyone is finding and entering the 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways! Days 1 – 3 are up now, so if by chance you haven’t entered yet, don’t wait any longer! And I am LOVING reading about everyone’s favorite Christmas traditions! To everyone who said that decorating your tree was your favorite, please over over here and assist me with my tree! I find it enjoyable for about 20 minutes when I look at all the ornaments I haven’t seen in a few years. After that I am kind of over it.
~I ran into Build-A-Bear today with the intention of picking up this tent / igloo thing L wanted for his Frosty the Snowman guy. Yeah, I guess BAB is like Target and you can’t leave with just one thing. They had these Sock Money’s (they had boys and girls but I got the boys) there that I HAD To get. I was just going to get one for L (they were $10) and then this lady has to tell me they are 1 for $10 or 2 for $15. Fine lady. I’ll take 2. And fleeces for them as well. They are cute though right?
~So my first Stitch Fix, as you know, was just kind of meh for me. However, this one that’s in route to me? I think I’m in love. I haven’t even seen it yet, but looking at the items in my account it’s so me! I cannot wait to get this and check everything out in person!
~Although it took over a week to arrive to me from the West Coast, I am also loving my latest thredUP order! I ordered a Ralph Lauren puffer jacket for WB in a few years and assorted sweaters and button downs for the boys. I’ve mentioned it before, but I find that going higher-end on there is the way to go. I can buy brand new GAPKids on the cheap (so many sales). But CrewCuts and Ralph Lauren? Not so much. I am hoping to find other some other winter gear on there soon too.
~I got my first Christmas card in the mail today and it make me realize that I am quite behind since I have not even, umm, ordered my cards yet. Have you ordered yours yet?? On the bright side at least I have had the pictures taken right?
~I am hoping for an amazing night’s sleep tonight since I have been up LATE the past few nights getting caught up on this and that. L is still coughing like crazy (fingers crossed it just magically goes away) and WB has a runny nose, which to WB is the worst thing ever. He hates it. Hopefully get sick now means we will all be well by Christmas!
~And finally I saw these on PopSugar’s instagram and think they are totally adorable. I’m not exactly sure what they used to cover the bottom (top) of the wine glass, but I bet I could figure something out!
What’s going on in your world this Tuesday?
OMG those are totally cute. I need to use some of my extra wineglasses for something like that. And no I have not ordered my cards yet. We haven’t even taken any pictures yet but hoping to go and see Santa tomorrow so if those are decent or possible a couple poses with some of the decorations I’ll get them ordered this week. On the other hand I did make the cards I’m sending to people that booked travel through me. They all get Mickey cards that I make 😉
At least I am not alone in the Christmas card thing! Santa is on next week’s list. I get excited for that. It’s always fun!
We have to figure out how to do the wine glass candle/snow globes!
The bottom is just a piece of cardboard with the figures glues on then glued to the top of the glass.
How do you get the snow to stay in??? Just be careful? Because we all know how careful I am with stuff like that.
Just like with the candle/snow globes from last winter. Glue the figures on the cardboard, turn the glass right side up, put the “snow” in the glass, then glue on the cardboard. Let it dry, turn it upside down. It will be sealed and the snow will stay in. I can’t wait to make some. Think I should go to JoAnn’s and get some supplies?
Yes you should! The ones I did were mason jars though so the lid screwed on. We’ll have to do these at your house so when I spill snow everywhere I can just go home. LOL!!!
I haven’t ordered cards yet either–but worse yet, we haven’t really taken family pictures since the ones for our baby announcement in summer, and we can’t exactly reuse those for our Christmas cards.. Excited to see what you get from StitchFix! Are you getting the winter Elizabeth & Clarke by any chance?

My stitchfix was awful. The pants they sent me had a 6inch rip in the seam. It was like really you are going to send me a 98$ pair of pants with the hope of me buying them that have a 6inch rip in the seam. The whole box also smelled liked mold. I emailed customer service right away and let them know how unhappy I was especially after all the reviews that I had read. They apologized and gave me a $20 credit to try them again. I am hoping that my next fix is awesome and that this was a one time issue.
That’s crazy! I haven’t really heard many bad things about it. Hopefully it was a one time thing for sure!
Love the sock monkeys! Assuming the second one will be for WB? We haven’t done our Christmas cards yet either….still can’t believe it’s December already. Where did the year go?

Ahh! I have been looking all over for a cute sock monkey for my boys and those are soooo it! Now I’ll have to take the 1 hour drive to the closest build a bear! 😉 wonder if they sell them online?!

Did you know that crew cuts has a factory website? They have good stuff, not all the stuff they have in the normal store but a good selection.
I did not know that! I need to look! I have been to their outlet store a few times though.
I just saw your stitchfix post, and I got an email tonight telling me mine was on the way, so I went and peeked! It looks amazing! I’m super excited to get mine too!! I haven’t posted anything since I got home because I’ve been super busy, and it’s been hard keeping up with reading all the blogs.. I can’t wait for my block of leave to come on the 16th so I can clean up and relax! Love your thoughts for today.. Today I got a list pulled of individuals that I need to talk to for work.. guess how many names came up… 10,642. Awesome.
So just a few people to talk to then? LOL!

Those wine glass snow globe candle holders are too cute! Definitely will have to keep those in mind for next year.
I mailed out our first batch of Christmas cards on Friday. We used a picture from our summer vacation. We got a Christmas card from the car dealership if that counts.

I haven’t commented in a while, but I am hear and still loving the blog. OMG those sock monkeys…are SO CUTE. I hope they have them here in Canada I’m going to send my mom off to Build a Bear and try to get them for me.
